Ordered this last time was on offer from macro - please be aware Macro use Yodel as their delivery agents - Yodel delivered both my units....lobbing them over by garden gate, resulting in 400,000 pieces of metal and plywood being deposited on my path....not fit for construction.......bad, bad, bad. AVOID, just for the fact they use YODEL

The units are CRA* as well.
Bought something very similar from bigdug via eBay. Paid over £30 quid so at £19.19 delivered this is a bargain. Was looking for some more so perfect timing.... Not the best looking but as long as it does the job I don't care.

Can't comment about Yodel as always get stuff from Makro myself but to say these units are "CRA*" is a load of "CRA*"

They certainly ain't pretty but who claimed they were. Putting them together is fairly easy, some joints can need a bit of a wiggle but is very simple. Really can't see what issue anyone would have with these. If someone has a problem with them then explain why so others can make a judgement. I use them at home but for business purposes and they are brilliant for storing stuff, really sturdy and at this price are a steal- cheaper than some of those plastic shelves which although are fine for some things they are nowhere near as sturdy
Go for more than this second hand on the bay!!
Don't listen to 'happy1' These are not cra*. The yodel driver must have been a big fella to throw them over the gate as these are very heavy. I also bought 2 when they were £21.50. I have one full height and one I use divided as work benches. The sturdiness is excellent. Shelves are adjustable. Much better than the plastic ones. If I hadn't already bought them I would definately buy them at this price. Heat.
Great shelving unit - very sturdy and can handle a massive amount of weight. Easy to knock together and take apart too. Bargain.
Have 2 of these same units. If I remember correctly, they each weight about 25kg, so not light by any means. However, it adds to the rigidity of the product, each shelf being able to hold around 175kg. All you really need to erect is a hammer (I put a towel over the hammer to stop it chipping the paint off of the bars).
looks good op
I feel the need to comment to help others decisions.

These are £19, and as so they are not perfect, the wooden panels didn't fit 100% as they should and some of it was slightly twisted. i had 2 one wasnt twisted but the panels still didn't sit as they should. As another comment states they are heavy and seem very sturdy, they are not really movable once constructed at least not easily
I put them together myself alone and fairly simple, some joints are a bit of a pain.

All in all this is to me a very good buy, you couldn't build shelves for this price from wood and the other alternative is plastic shelves which on price would be similar and while might look nicer are not as good.

these do hold a lot of weight as claimed. The only disappointment in this was the whole Yodel experience, they do bash these around and lots of claimed failed delivery attempts etc.

hope this helps
rubber mallet should help with putting it together, going to get some bay joiners too. Hopefully they're are a universal fit.

Those that need a slightly thinner in width shelving like i did, i recommend this

Although i got it for £29.99 at argos. So might be worth keeping a eye on this for when the price drops again.
Thanks ordered 2
THANKS :- ordered 2 as well.
superb, ordered 2 as well.
Does anyone that has these shelves know if the height can be reduced when assembling? I.e. could you not use the top shelf?
I only have a maximum height of 165cm before I reach the sloping shed roof.

Also, is this available in store?

Thanks

Hi Twinkle, assuming that it is similar to the one I have the only height options would be full or half as dictated by the vertical slats of which there are two. Anything online is also available instore. but not the other way round.

You can, but you will have to cut the upright peices.
I bought 3 of these very recently as a Macro instore offer at just over £15 each. Can be a bit fiddly at first when you put them together but by the time you get to the 2nd one you know what to look out for. For the money a very good buy.
I have previously bought several of the heavy duty plastic type from Costo & Aldi for a similar price and the shelves bow quite easily with some weight on.
These appear to be made of steel and even if they take a bit of knocking about to get them together they seem to be a bargain for the money. I'm sure that they would be at least double the price elsewhere. If it includes delivery I'll risk Yodel and if any are broken they can swap them. I 'd rather go for delivery than have to cart 4 x 25 kgs in the car!!
Thanks OP.

I agree YODEL are CRA* they have just delivered some brake discs to me and the box was ripped open, however the discs were fine.

On several occasions before they have damaged my goods.
Bought 2 aswell. Will have to saw 100mm off the height to fit my shed but will be ideal. Heat added
Ordered 3

Need to get the garage sorted out!!
Price gone up to £23.99 inc
Mine arrived today, all 5 of them. Really well packaged and contrary to some earlier posts no damage to boxes.
Haven't had a chance to open yet so unable to confirm that the contents are okay.
Godspeed

Price gone up to £23.99 inc

Still £19.19 inc INSTORE though as I found out today
I got mine recently, and they wasn't deliveredy by YODEL for me.

Although it seems they have sent me the 250kg "Biloxxi" model, which was £24 like the Fairline is now.
