Yup. agreed mate. I got the vanilla edition, but decided shortly after beginning to play i really wanted the GOTY edition, which I just got a copuple of days ago. As great as the game is, the vanilla version is a bit of a waste of time IF you subsequently get hooked on the game, cos' your then guaranteed to want the GOTY edition, and the price of the seperate DLC on PSN is extortionate.

This is cheap though for such an awesome game, it has to be said

One of my all time favourites, just finished the last expansion pack. Simply awesome game.

Not played this yet, but I must admit I was after it for a while...... I managed to get a pre-owned copy of Fallout 3 GOTY edition for £7.95 from Blockbuster, That was also posted on HUKD although it is pre-owned and go rather fast at that price. But worth a phone call to check local store stocks, just on the off chance they have any...

this is a bargain, but try the GOTY edition since that's getting cheap.

F3 is easily one of the best game's I've played.

its useful if you put which store you got it from when listing in-store only

Yeah worth getting the GOTY Edition - Amazing game

£4.99 is a great price for the end of your life...this game consumed me to ruination.

Saw this in Hinckley last Saturday but forgot to post  It will be nationwide depending on stock

This is hot @ £5 - it gives you a chance to try the main game. IF you then want the DLC its cheaper to sell this and then buy the GOTY edition

Masterpiece game, especially if you let it consume you and have imagination.

Though I do suggest the GOTY edition for all the extras.

I'd say it was best to play the main quest through once first, to get to grips with things and then restart with the GOTY expansions.

Good point mate ;-) Your bound to get at least £3 or £4 quid for it second hand, so your only gonna be down a quid or two, and by the time you've finished the main game, the GOTY edition may well have come down a bit further in price

Have bought and tried this game twice and have never been able to get into it, I really don't see what the big deal is...!

I'm ashamed to admit I was in the same boat as you mate. I tried it several times, done the initial Vault 101 tutorial, G.O.A.T. and all that, found it tedious if I'm brutally honest. But stick with it. Once you go to Megaton, do a few side missons/tasks etc, get a good gun, a perk or two and start kicking ass, blowing limbs off in slo-mo via V.A.T.S. You'll begin to REALLY warm to the game. I know this might sound strange, but play the game with a decent set of earphones on. The sound FX & music are incredibly atmospheric and really add to the gameplay. Hearing distant gunfire, explosions and other strange noises, cranks the tension up and adds to the feeling that your in a living breathing world.

worst game ever.

worst comment ever :p:thumbsup:

Excellent game, GOTY will save you money in the long-run. I did get £4.00 from GAME some months back when I traded in my standard edition, so not much risk here.

I also took a while to get into this (I was initially torn between buying this and Red Faction Guerilla) and it paid of in the end, its an epic epic game and I'm not normally interested in this genre.

lol, I was expecting this to be hugely dull but as it turns out, its the best game I've ever experienced.
Up to about 25hours now and not been bored once!

Wasn't expecting anything much from this (bought it for a fiver from eBay) but it's absolutely awesome!

From the start it had me laughing with it's twist on generating the player character and the game world is just HUGE and fascinating. A LOT of twisted imagination has gone into this game and it's technically great. The karma when playing as bad/good means replay value is good.

Wish I'd spent a bit more and got the GOTY edition as I wil NEED those expansions. For a fiver though, very HOT!

Say goodbye to your free time if you buy this! £5 for this much game is a steal.

So nobody had a problem with the awful graphics, the lack of aim on the gun, the poor ammo supplies, sh*tty slow shooting VATS (wtf is the point?), and generally miserable landscape?
