I think preordering can be a bad idea anyway but when next to nothing is actually known about the game, it's bordering on lunacy.

Do I need to have played the first 75 to understand the story?

Har Har Har. So hilarious. So original.
Preorder for a game for over £40? Not a chance that this is a deal.

I think you'd probably have to be somewhat certifiable to preorder this based on a single teaser video...

Atleast wait til E3 rumour is the games out next month.
You pay up front at 365 games.
365games is reputable but as above, we know nothing about the game.

Exactly - a rumour, nothing else.
Bethesda do not let me down with games the ones I played I have enjoyed. I would pre-order this without fear.
whats with preorder prices and AAA games in general, why are the prices so high?

A substantial one that lines up with Bethesda's recent practise of really quick turnarounds.

It’s a lot cheaper than the £59.99 price tag of Amazon and others. So in comparison it’s a great deal.

I’ll be getting it either way

you know it will be cheaper just a few days after ? Why preorder what you don't know what it even is yet?

Also, im not questioning this "deal", im questioning the gaming industry's raising prices in general.
Closer to the release date, this'll drop down to around £35. It's rare a pre order stays at £45+. Most are just place holder prices..
Then turns out to be a card game.....

Apparently this is more like Rust or DayZ than a regular Fallout game. It's mostly by another studio, not the team that made Skyrim/F4.

I have read it's going to mostly be like a standard Fallout game. But will have drop in co op like Farcry.

I hope so, but Kotaku have 3 sources inside Bethesda who say it's more like Rust. We'll soon find out though.

Definitely no reason to pre-order before we know at this price though.

The cost now to make games is huge and gamers are demanding a lot more. I am suprised that games are stayed relatively low in price. I view games like this. Even if I am only spending 10 hours on a game and I have payed £45-£50 then its only £5 per hour. Most games I would spend siginficantly more time on so the cost per hour played reduced dramitcally.

I agree, game prices are getting ridiculous but they’ll get a lot worse if everyone keeps buying digital garbage.

I don’t pre-order - this has been assumed wrongly by some. I do buy a few days after release (as someone has commented earlier), however; if you were to pre-order it’s a lot cheaper than what everyone else has it up for
Does pre-ordering through base and 365 get you access to the beta or not?
