Just visited my local Tesco with a friend and they had the Family Guy Series 1-6 - Complete Box Set on the shelf for £45! Didn't have my wallet with me so didn't purchase it, but will be doing so tomorrow morning.

Synopsis :

The most hilarious animated sit-com since The Simpsons, Family Guy revolves around the Griffin family and their madcap adventures. The Griffin household includes two teenagers, a cynical dog who is smarter than everyone else, and a megalomaniacal mutant baby who makes numerous attempts to eradicate his parents and siblings. Heading up this eclectic household is Peter Griffin. Peter does his best to do what's right for the family, but along the way, he makes mistakes that are the stuff of legend.

thats a deal

amazing price

Yep they might be getting rid off these boxsets (great if you can get one) cos on 10th Nov a new boxset will be released vol 1-7 which is going to be pricey around £100. And at the same time vol 7 alone will be around £18 so great value.

Anyone know of any stores with stock at this price? Really want to make use of this deal, but not really wanting to visit umpteen stores to get it! Preferably in or around Glasgow!

A series of random interchangable jokes with no relevance to the plotline of the story? yes please!

You make it quite clear that you've never given Family Guy the attention it deserves.
Instead of being so ignorant, go to familyguyx.com and preview a few episodes, then buy this boxset.

Great deal by the way, voted hot.

great price, just need to find it now

I watched the latest US Simpsons, and the latest Family Guy straight after.

I didn't laugh once during The Simpsons, it was a poor episode, whereas the Family Guy episode made me laugh. The molesting priest joke never gets old, not for me anyway :giggle:

"Hmm Germany are building weapons of mass destruction, why aren't we invading them, oh yeah, that's right, there's no oil there"

:giggle: :giggle: :giggle:

I've only ever seen one episode of Family Guy and I've seen some clips on various video media sites. I have to say what I've seen has far surpassed any Simpsons episode and I really like the Simpsons. Just search for "cookie monster rehab" on google and tell me that's not funny! Great deal btw, will make a good present for Family Guy fans.

none near me, they've never stocked it. 2 Big stores aswell.

Tesco's in Dudley don't have it, only have the seasons signally at £15.99 each. :-(

Has anyone been able to buy this? I don't fancy making the trip if it's only in one or two stores nationwide (or sells out stupidly fast like PES last week :x)

i hope everyone here is aware that the bird is the word!

Well my local is a Tesco Extra so maybe it's only them that stock it? They had a bunch of DVD boxsets at the side of the DVD aisle. James Bond, West Wing and other boxsets were also available but they weren't bargains really.

Got a copy this morning as I'd intended.

Yes I'm suprised there is no news of an ornathological nature on this post.

will try my nearest extra, thanks

damn, they dont stock at bishops cleeve extra

So so so tempting...

Well I've tried Dalgety Bay (Metro) and Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy both big stores and no-one appears to have had it in stock let alone have it now.:x

Watford Tesco had nothing

Got them all but would of bought this and sold my singles to CEX, they are getting tatty now lol

got 1 in Tesco Yeading today and there were at least 3 more sets on the shelf.
I think they only put them out the night before so maybe other stores will get some in

Has anyone bought one of these lately as my local store had none in & didn't know when they'd get some more in. Wouldn't mind getting one of these for Christmas. The cheapest place I've found is buying the series seperately which comes to £55 all together. Has anyone find any cheaper than that?
