I like this better then the previous post....especially living in the northeast as a day return is too rushed...but the other deal got a hot vote too

Such a good deal isn't it!!
It is not flying by any definition.
Technically speaking it does fly as it's completely off the ground/water when being operated

sorry for being thick - can you take a car on a hovercraft? eg. so i can drive off to wherever at the other end?

Stop being thick. 🤭
I would like to know that too, how do you transport a family of 5 around the island once you get there?

Either get the ferry to take your car or use public transport....the hovercraft do not take cars.

There's buses & trains on the Island!

Bit rude. Was a genuine question.

Sorry, I suppose it was rude. I see the hovercraft everyday and I just presumed everyone knows what size they are.
Anyway, they aren't that exciting so you are much better off on the ferry. You can take your car on the ferry and you'll see a lot more as well.

I live up in Cambridge and think i may have seen a hovercraft once in my life! Genuinley have no idea what these things are capable of. Thanks for your reply. Have a great day :-)

The old Dover-Calais Hoverspeed hovercrafts used to take cars, it's a perfectly reasonable question for anyone who doesn't live within sight of the hovercraft port. Agree that they're underwhelming though - the France one was the same, just one big packed lounge and a lot of noise... ferry is slower but a more pleasant experience.
Thanks for posting @NicoAndTheNiners we have added this to today's Highlights section

Went on the France one once. The vibration was astonishing. My fillings are still rattling.

Don't be stupid.
Perfect timing... Heat Added. But I wanted to take my Car? Any deal for that?

Wow, fun, on paper.

In reality I am only drawn to this deal becuase of some Blue Peter episode which featured hover crafts. I don't actually care. I have no intention of going to the big white island in the sea.

Couldn't help but click it though and screw it voting hot because why not, at under a tenner each it looks like great value when you consider a bus ticket in the Highlands of Scotland is a fiver to go 11 miles.
