Family ticket to see JLS, Beach Boys, The Saturdays, Paul Young at Hyde Park £45 sold by Amazon Local

Individual ticket for an adult is £35, for a child is £20, so for 2 adults and 2 children, this represents a very good deal. Was £90, now £45. Starts at noon, and the weather forecast is very good. What better way to spend this Sunday than having a picnic at Hyde Park while Paul Young serenades thousands in the background, or the Beach Boys remind you of your youth?
For this Sunday 7th of July

My daughter is a JLS fan, and this is surely a good deal......? Not voting yet.

Über hot. Surely?!? Horrible Histories and the Gruffalo too, if I wasn't working all weekend I'd be on it!

Much like me - I am going to Henley shaking a bucket for charity on Sunday. I would much rather be listening to Little Deuce Coupe.

Oh Christ. you mean JLS are still together?! Thought they split up ages ago!

Not my cup of tea, music wise, but voted hot anyway.

Looks a good deal. If we lived closer would def take up this deal

Fair play that is a good deal - going to be 28C on Sunday too so take a hat

I thought JLS split too?

Good deal, paid £75 for 2 adults 1 child direct through Barclaycard. Shame I can't get a discount/refund.

Fantastic if a London-dweller. Another £65 to get there by train

( C'mon Boris, you mop-haired zany lunatic who's always up for a larf, give us free trains into London on a Sunday. (_;) )

It says it's one of the last chances to see JLS together. I'd be up for it if I didn't already have a beachhut booked for the day!

HA ha. I hope he is reading this.

amazing deal, i would be on this if around London

amazing deal too. would definitely have gone to see the Beach Boys (sans Dennis and Carl R.I.P) if I was around

Booked - thanks.
From Wiki re.JLS: On 24 April 2013, it was announced that the band were to split after their final album and tour. I guess this is part of their final tour.

JLS spliting up !!!!!!

Where am I going to buy my new sofa now?

They must be struggling to shift these - we've just had an email round the office selling these at "a special corporate rate" of £10 a pop. Just an fyi, they might come down further, I suppose.

Mostly Funk, Soul & Jazz Festival for me on Sunday in Moseley Park in Birmingham. Chic featuring Nile Rodgers headlining Sunday night! Check out their Glasto set for how good they are.

I saw Chic on TV at Glasto. They were cool. They are also doing one of the dates at Hyde Park. I guess they are doing the festival circuit.

I saw the Beach Boys once a long time ago and the happy memories live with me forever.
Wish I could go.

Very kind of you to offer. I sent you an email a few minutes ago via my Hotmail a/c.

You can also get adult tickets for £10 with the code 'rlsb' - worked for me yesterday.

yup - £10 - if you go via either RLSB or Age UK. check out their websites.

Just remember that you aren't allowed to take food into the venue and there is a limit of 500 ml water in a sealed bottle.
They impose this in the name of 'security', but of course it's so they can rape you once inside (and once in the venue you aren't allowed to leave and re-enter) - it's pretty scandalous really.

Useful tip - thanks. Will tell my wife who is going.

It is possible to take in multiple water bottles:

"During the weekend ticketed concerts (5th, 6th, 7th, 12th, 13th, 14th July) no food or drink is permitted to brought into the event, with the exception of water in unopened plastic containers up to 500ml or juice in sealed cartons of up to 500ml". bst-hydepark.com/eve…aqs

I'll try taking a couple of frozen Capri Sun drinks in a bag with the water bottles to keep the water cold. They'll also make a refreshing ice lolly or another cold drink.

Remember to take along sun lotion.

they said the same re no food and drink when the Olympics were showing at Hyde Park, but the checkes werent that secure and we still managed to take in sandwhiches and crisps etc as well as a few drinks at the bottom of a large bag (or in a buggy if you are taking one) - wonder if it will be the same for this event?

It is worth taking a chance with smuggling in a sarnie/crisps etc. Glass bottles, alcohol and harmful items are more important for them to stop due to health & safety and legal reasons.

That was really good - thanks for posting this deal.
Mini review:
Paul Young - oh dear.
The Saturdays - actually quite good.
The Beach Boys - Absolutely Fantastic!
JLS - oh dear oh dear.
Really, the Beach Boys were the star act...although JLS thought they were the headline, they really weren't. Although I'm 41, and I'm sure somebody younger would disagree. All in all though, a very nice day out. The checks at the gate weren't as tight as other events in the park we've been too - we did smuggle food in and plenty of drinks.

My wife went with our kids and hre review was pretty much the same. I'm so disappointed I missed the Beach Boys. They played my favourite - Little Deuce Coupe. Glad my kids got to see them though.

What happened with Paul Young? It sounded like his microphone needed to be turned up? His voice seemed drowned out by the band. The female backing singer & percussionist had a better sounding voice. Also, during one song I heard him sing but he didn't have the mic to his mouth and was walking from the drummer to the front of the stage- was he miming, perhaps?

The Saturdays sounded okay and the cover of a Depeche Mode song was fun.

The Beach Boys should have headlined. JLC the 'headliners' did a shorter set and did not even do a encore....perhaps they covered their whole back catalogue in their 45 minutes slot?!

I would of liked to have seen The Soul Rebels but had a rather good spot at the main stage and did not want to lose it.

Beach Boys were certainly the highlight act and on about twice as long as JLS, I think people were in shock when they went off and didn't bother coming back for another song, I guess they just don't have that many 'hits' in their 5 year selection. Great day and reasonable prices for the food.

Tich was pretty decent on the smaller stage, hadn't seen her before.

Was Brian Wilson in the Beach Boys set?

Was Brian Wilson in the Beach Boys set?

Sadly not

Deal is now over but this was better way of going there as (i) you didn't have to be in a foursome with 2 adults + 2 kids and (ii) a % of money went to charity: hotukdeals.com/dea…297
I went and Paul Young had to announce Wimbledon result in the middle of his set as he was becoming overshadowed by it all!
