I travelled the other day 3 adults and was offered a groupsave discount of 26% no Railcard needed, was told 3 or more qualifies but, not all train companys offer it , you have to ask, anyway checked on Trainline app for 3 adults travelling in Cornwall and it added the groupsave discount automatically, don't know if it's regional. The gwr and cross country apps had it in the Railcard section but you had to select it yourself.

Anyone know if you can stack these - current one expires August?

Thank you

Does the code work on the 3 year 16-25 rail card?

They've posted this on their Facaebook feed but none of the codes actually work!

How annoying, used 12% NUS instead last night, Martin didn’t mention anything about 20% in that topic which I think they should of (poo)

Hi everyone can't seem to get this code to work I have tried both that are available to this site if anyone could help me I would appreciate that thank you

the child ticket is usually 1 pound. still cheaper to have an invisible child.

if I dont want it, it must be bad.

the deal is £5 off the railcard. Obviously Hot whether you think the railcard gives value for money is a totally different kettle of fish. I save at least £4 a week with mine ,that's without the bigger trips which are usually too expensive without a railcard.

Why does this site become a fighting forum ?? I'm starting to really dislike it simply cause if all the bitchiness and lack of patience from people

sigh stokerej said 'You cannot use the railcard on trains before 9.30 am.' which is inaccurate and incorrect. Peak times vary between stations, for example Wakefield can be off-peak before 7am. Details of when the card can be applied are on the website.

Depending on your routes and usage, it can work out cheaper sometimes to use the card and pay for the childs ticket even if your child is under 5. On busy routes it also means your child doesnt have to sit on your lap because you have paid for a seat for them.

I signed up to something similar. It would only gave you discounts on the main meal, so drinks etc were not included. The most irritating thing was you could not use it over the weekend, & then only up to a certain time, 1800, if I remember correctly. this might not be the same, but try looking for the terms & conditions.

Have done it this way since my daughter was born almost 8 years ago! Saves loads of money, maybe not a 'deal' but deffo a great heads up to those who who didn't realise!

What the OP is saying is that if you do a lot of travelling and your children are under 5, so don't actually need a ticket, if you buy this and purchase a ticket for them when travelling it can actually work out cheaper! I discovered this last week when I went to Manchester with my daughter. On my own it would have cost me £4.20 return, because I bought a child return as well with my railcard it was only £2.90 for us both!

KL88 - the child reduction is listed by the Op in the description!

For goodness sake - all you had to do was click on the link! Still, if you've 'better things to do' with your time..........:D

Apparently you can get a friends and family railcard for £15 of Tesco clubcard vouchers....just in case anyone has some they need to use up before they expire....

I've just been jiggling the figures on this an working out if best to get one ahead of a trip to London in half term. In my case I need return to London liverpoool street for 2 adults 1 child and it seems the 'Group Saver' is a better deal for me, without laying out the £20 for a railcard. Good deal though so voting HOT :)

You do not need to have a child between 5-15. Provided that you buy a ticket for them. Forexample: If you have a child age 4 you normally does not qualify however if you buy ticket for 4 year old then you can qualify. Probably your saving will be more than childs ticket for some journesy so it still worth it. This is how I read from the web site. I hope this helps.
