It's often this price. It's not a bad whisky.
At £15 i guess it's a good deal as you can throw loads of coke at it to kill the taste of the whisky. Each and everyone to their own but I detest this whisky hence its why it sits on a shelf in my man hut and guests get a large portion lol.
But everyone has different tastes.

Vile stuff
Awwh, I grew up on this stuff, and Bells. Admit, its not a classy drink. Not the kind of thing you put in front of posh guests..., but if you want a strong whisky, with grunt, at the end of a hard week at work, it does the trick.

I recently purchased Johnny Walkers Double Black (paid £24). Does anyone know if this compares in anyway?

They’re not that different, Young smokey blends.
Wow, not a nice drink at all. I would rate this lower than the default Famous Grouse. With that, you get a solid whisky, not for the faint hearted. This stuff pretends to be something it clearly isn't and even then, it tastes diluted, as if its been topped off with a bit of water, and then with a tinge of smokiness (and I honestly mean a tinge). Of course, I'm not expecting it to be like a Johnny Walker Black or Double Black, but if your going to try something similar, at least make a half decent attempt at it. There are times to bag a bargain, and there are times when you realise that just for a few pounds more, you can buy something vastly superior. Sorry... Famous Grouse, think you messed up with this one!
