Loads of you asking us where you can get fans cheaply and quickly as you are sweltering in this unusually hot British Summer so we have put a thread together all in one place for you. If one's not in stock for you - move on to the next one until you get one.

Top tip is to place a bowl of ice or frozen water bottle in front of the fan to make it blow out even cooler air for you.

If you don't want to have a fan in the kids room, I have been soaking a cloth with water and ringing it out and laying it over the top of my little boy and that seems to be really helping him sleep.

    Thanks! I ordered another 16" Pedestal Fan on Monday from CPC for £16.74 delivered, but your thread seems even cheaper doh!
    This has got to be the cheapest Summer Cooling fan, but with only 1.2m power cord: amazon.co.uk/Sum…1_8? I doubt if you'll find cheaper
    don't even bother with any of these.. spend a big more and get portable air-con you'll thank me later.

    Staples 9" superior desk fan was £11.99 now £8.99 -- the quality of this fan is really bad i bought it and i asked for a refund. The fan is flimsy and the hinge on the fan came bent so it wouldnt close the cage.
