I think they made a really silly decision to put a tempered glass top. They are cold, and you can't install a ergo computer monitor arm any more.
Needs an electric chair to partner it!

I've been doing it for three years now. It really helped with a bad back hunching over my keyboard, strengthening my legs and losing weight. Biggest impact is no longer getting that 3PM snooze feeling after lunch.

You can put an extended mouse pad on top but I guess that would take away from its beauty.

Was this a bit cheaper in store, i can't remember but i remember liking how it looked and how sturdy it looked. I like the height adjustable idea, great if you need to be standing when working.
I also love the idea of being able to order spare parts from manufacturer.
I like the glass but i either use a laptop or imac so don't need a monitor arm.

Saw this in store for £199+vat. Not sure why it is more online.

Was that recently? Need a new desk and one where I can sit/stand would be great!
Maybe 2 weeks ago in MK Store. It was this price online when i saw in store so hopefully store price still cheaper.
Any idea if I can borrow a friends membership card and go in store without that friend with me? Wasn't sure if they have a photo, ask for proof or allow me to use my credit card that has a different name on it.

don't think you can but with a trade members card you can have an additional person added
I thought about getting one until a friend pointed out that the bar at the bottom would be in the way when sitting. I agreed, so didn't buy in the end. Very sturdy desk if used mostly for standing though.

This was £199 + VAT a few weeks ago in Ellesmere Port Costco too.

Because Online prices at Costco include VAT and a little to cover delivery. If you saw these in store at £199 then it would have come to £240 at the til including the 20% vat. So essentially here it is costing £30 extra to buy it online and delivered.
I think I am visiting Lakeside anyway so might call and see if they have them for £199 and if so will get a trade membership, would work out about the same as the online delivered price but will essentially get a free membership as long as I can fit this in the car!

yep,
"Not all products sold on Costco.co.uk are available at your local Costco warehouse. Products sold online may have different pricing than the same products sold at your local Costco warehouse due to shipping and handling fees charged for delivery"
I always check anything I see online to see if it is in store as sometimes there can be big differences in prices. Also anything you buy online cannot be returned to store if you change your mind or have a warranty issue.
for this price, i would want the laptop to be included with it! that is one expensive desk.
Bought this desk for £270 about 2 months ago for my teenage sons bedroom. He loves it and the quality so far has been excellent. USB side Charging is a great advantage. Agree with comments ref tempered glass top, looks great but effects ergo monitor install but does allow for using dry wipe markers etc if making notes (he then photos for revision etc). Would still buy again at £270 so if you can get cheaper than worth it but supplement with a good chair.

Yes so still better to pick up in store... Not a fan of "Free delivery" if there going charge you more online. It is a small box so should fit in most cars if you do not mind the trip.

No unfortunately the cards have your picture on the back so the holder will need to go with you.
Can a monitor arm clamp not be used on this desk? The type the screws tightening between two rubber discs.
£300 For a tripod..

I find cutting back on afternoon meetings also counteracts the 3pm snooze feeling...

Thanks, I called and there is stock so I will probably sign up for trade membership on the day
Was admiring one of these in store, things are more online as you don’t need to be a member I think
Nice desk, tad pricey though for myself.
How does membership work?
Needs a wireless charging pad built into the surface

I had lumbar surgery and it kinda forced me to switch to standing desk. I wish I have done it earlier. Once you get used to it you don't really want to go back.
I have been using this for about 8 months now bought is for 235gbp ish. Tempered glass is great as the table becomes a white board so can easily explain things to kids. Led controls store heights for the whole family. One of my best buys from Costco
Just got it home and set up, first impressions are really good. I like the colours, design and build quality, nice to have 4 custom presets, good range of height. Will see how it goes after working on it for a week.
My nearest Costco is a long drive away, so having it delivered is a real bonus and worth the £30 extra. It's also big (ie the dimensions of the table plus a bit more) so wouldn't fit in my car, and heavy, so I'd need to take someone with me. All in all, cheapest isn't always best.

I've been using it a week now and it's great. Easy to assemble, looks good and moves smoothly up and down. Now I just need the rest of the office room to look as smart!
