Appears most people disagree with you. metacritic.com/gam…202

spotted it for £9.99 in hmv as well both versions, but after checking out the pc version I'm not sure it's a game for me. must admit I did find it a bit on the boring side..

but great deal if your into Far Cry!, I think i've seen it on quite a few online shops at £9.99

I personally loved this game, preordered it and sank many happy hours into it. I'd be the first to admit though that it had its problems.

Either way this is surely a good deal for ten quid, especially considering how many utterly sh!t games get voted hot purely for their ten pound price point.

Hot from me.

This game could have been so, so, so much better. It could have been a game that would make me never want to play another game.

On the upside, the open environments and weather effects are great. There's a decent range of weapons. Character models are good. There's a flexible map editor.

On the downside, missions are very repetative. You don't seem to be able to hide at all or stealthily carry out a mission. There are too many enemies that just appear, and constantly respawn, which just makes getting around a pure misery. You can't seem to get on top of the larger hills which would be a sniper's paradise. Also, constantly having to cure your malaria is annoying, not fun.

I want to sneak around, taking out the enemy. I don't want a mortar fired at me from a mile away, or one person noticing me while lying down in thick undergrowth and then the other 20 guards all instantly gunning down my position. This game should have been all about stealth; it would have been infinitely satisfying and brilliant.

In short, it's as if they had an awesome game and then took a baseball bat to its legs in order to completely cripple any fun element that may be had through playing it. I want to love it, I want to finish it, but I just end up hating it every time I play it.
