I think the last time I was this excited about a game was waiting for sonic the hedgehog 2. I loved FC3 I finished it on both PS3 and X360 and then again on PS3

Great price for this and heat applied.

Heat from me too, really looking forward to this, have some heat

pity its ubisoft, who will gimp the gfx like the did for Watchdogs to make the console versions not look so bad! (read the stories all over the web).

Will no doubt be bundled with nvidia cards and will be acquired cheaper

Ubisoft seemingly never learn! Fresh from heralding the PC as being the lead platform for Watch_Dogs (and we all know how that worked out, albeit the modding community is doing some great work) they've already stated PC to be the lead platform for Far Cry 4 too! Early adopters had better brace themselves for months of patching!

Also 5% off using code if you like them on facebook

This game is going to be limited to what the PS4 and Xbox One are capable of graphics wise. So if your happy buying a gimped product go for it. Ubisoft really don't deserve any PC gamers money.

So if they make a fantastic game we should just not play it because the graphics are not class leading? Enjoy your political stance not playing what is likely to be a great game. I will be playing this no matter how poor the graphics are.

Far Cry is built on the Crytek engine right? Always ends up looking great on the PC. Far Cry 3 look great to me?

Far Cry 3 still has top graphics today and it was released on Xbox 360 and PS3 as well.

Good for you! Enjoy the game

Due to the recent controversy over downgrading watch dogs, ubisoft wont be getting any of my money and certainly not for a pre order. I recommend people wait for the reviewer codes to come out before even thinking of buying any ubisoft games. You could be wasting your money.

I think you missed some news today. Ubisoft purposely crippled the graphics in the PC release of Watchdog. There were some hidden files labelled with E3 that when activated vastly improved the quality of graphics and reduced stuttering. Current theory is they crippled the PC graphics to make the console versions look better by comparison.

Yep Far Cry 3 does indeed look good. But it also had massive performance issues on PC (even on the most powerful machines) and still does to this day. Unfortunately PC is the last platform Ubisoft take into consideration when producing a game and has been shown time and again with their poor ports. Like I said if people are happy still buying their products while knowing the facts more power to them.

Why would you throw £28 at a game thats not out yet?

Performance issues? On my 290 it averaged 50-60fps, very rarely dropping below that on Ultra settings, 1080p and 4xAA. Even a 7950, which was about £250 when FC3 was released, would do the same frame rate on Ultra 1080p, but without AA. I can't see how this can be called "performance issues", especially considering the graphics quality? I don't know of any other game that has better graphics and produces the same fps.

Lol how did this get hot? Have you seen the state of watchdogs?

290 is not exactly a cheap card :\ I struggle with FC3 on my 7970 the game runs like **** with certain settings on fps from 60-30 up and down all the time, even worse on multiplayer!

So dont lie about the 7950 the settings on FC3 were borked to **** and it ran like poo.

Don't use AA then. There is hardly any difference between 4xAA and zero AA in 1080p anyway. Do you really expect a game with top graphics to run with every single setting on max on mid-range hardware?

Yup - no problem with 7950 - cut scenes can be a little choppy but the game itself plays very smoothly.

I missed no news. You are the one that completely missed the point of my post. No matter what the graphics are I will play a game if it is good. It's not going to look like Pacman at the end of the day and the story will likely be fantastic with great voice acting and characters. Of course I'd be happier if the graphics were fantastic but I'd rather play Far Cry 4, even if it looked like it was on the original Xbox than play a poor game with sensational graphics.

You are missing the point. They are artificially limiting what the PC version of this game could be because they don't want to invest time/resources into the PC development side of things which is fine but because of this fact I feel that I'm not getting value for money on my chosen platform so I wont be buying their products. People like me choose to play on PC to be able to play the best looking/performing games on powerful hardware and Ubisoft aren't willing to meet that demand. Far Cry 3 does look good but anywhere near the best looking games and it also ran poorly for how it looked and it still does 2 years after release. Watch_Dogs looks good sometimes (night time when raining) but again it runs incredibly poorly on powerful hardware (huge stuttering, fps drops) for how it looks. It's amazing too me that people are so willing to be bad consumers.

I play it with no problems on a 5850 at pretty high settings (can't quite remember of the top of my head) and it looks fantastic.

That's great that you had that experience doesn't make what I said any less true.

Has anyone actually completed the PC version of Watch Dogs running the E3 settings? I agree the E3 effects look great but if they end up breaking the game halfway through I can understand Ubisoft's need to turn them off. At least they haven't removed the options completely, from my point of view PC gamers get the best of both worlds, great graphics with the option of improving them if you can be bothered. Remember, this post isn't a debate on the morality of Ubisoft's production process, but instead a heads up that a brand new game is being sold at a really good price... plus there's elephants, gotta love the elephants!

Ubi employee are we?

Haha I wish. I just really enjoy their games. My only real gripe with them is their stance on season passes as I can't stand them and they try too hard to sell them!
