Cheaper if by only a few pennies on cdkeys. I'm sure as the time approaches it will drop even further on some of these sites.

CDKeys.com

Edit: Forgot to add that cdkeys do 5% off which brings this down to £36

NEVER pre-order a Far Cry game, they are one of the fastest price dropping franchises there is, every time they slash the price about a month after release
I'm sorry but it might be the lowest price but this is a hot deals site and £36 is ridiculous to contemplate spending for any PC release. As above the price will drop and there's no resale value on PC games so eve £20 is a lot.
It might turn out to be a great game but most people have a backlog of other great games to be able to wait a month or two - for the drop and the patches.
Pc games should not be this price they have no sell on value at all max should be 30
Heat for the price, but this game looks so underwhelming to me. Looks the exact same as the last two games that came before it! Far Cry recycles so many of its assets that these full price entries may as well be DLC

I usually place the cap at £25 actually.
As mentioned above, there is genuinely NO reason to pay this much, unless for some amazing reason you absolutely need it on release day. It'll be cheap as chips before you know it

Edit: upon reflection, yes there are reasons to buy a game at launch. I was corrected by a more stable minded fellow below. Note to self: do not post comments mid way through an atrocious morning.

I'm not sure an 'amazing' reason is required. The vast majority of the hype is around the time of the release - so people want to get into the game so they can enjoy it at the same time as everyone else. With your logic it's worth waiting to see the latest Star Wars film months after everyone else instead of paying for cinema tickets. Others may be streamers - anyone with an online following may wish to attract bigger crowds by streaming the latest games from day of release. Finally, whilst it seems a lot compared to the price you'll pay within a few months of release, you get a lot of game for £37 since it lasts 30+ hours even just completing the story and a few side missions.
Buy BF II.
Grind it for 9 months to unlock everything.
Buy this for £15.
Profit.

Yeah you have valid points, I guess I just don't really follow the launch hype of games / movies! I normally wait a while for games to drop in price and have a few bugs ironed out. I do get that there are some people that like it right away though. I guess I should have said that it may be best for people to wait a few months, get through their current backlog a bit and pick this up for mid 20s. My main point was the fact it'll be cheaper fairly soon, as some franchises historically drop quicker than others, and unless you want it right away it's better to hold off. You're right, could've worded it better though. Had a pants morning today.

Hey no worries! I'm the same... want it on Xbox but hate paying full price!! Learned the hard way with FC4... bought digitally for £25 and it was £15 a week later on disc... grrr!
Didn't really care about Far Cry til I picked up Far Cry 3 for cheap and played it. Really loved it. Can't wait for FarCry 5 to come out. But will probably wait for a price drop before picking it up.
