We just flew back from algarve. Stayed at Clube Praia Roche
Not impressed to say the least.
You have to pay €1.50 per bed €1.50 per brolly every day by pool.
Also only beer & wine available until 8pm then u get spirits until 11. Worst all inclusive we’ve been to.

Went oct last year and it was hot 22-25 degrees
Bear in mind you're staying in Portimão, about 40 miles from Faro airport, so transfers at £24pp may be a good idea unless you're renting a car. The "hotel" will be pretty rubbish though, and there won't be much going on in Portimão that time of the year.
Looked like a good deal until I read the comments and checked out reviews. Oh well.

I didn’t say you won’t get good weather, I said it isn’t guaranteed. October can be hit & miss.
Decent price.
Been to praia da Rocha in October a few times, always been over 22 degrees

Aye during the day, it sharp changes at night. As I discovered last September at a dance music festival over there.
Yes it does at night, make sure you take a jacket out at night
This hotel is awful truly awful I’ve stayed here and the food is awful it has a tiny restaurant with about 20 tables and you have to queue up outside and basically await a table ! Drinks package all inclusive is not available until 11/12 and we couldn’t have alcohol until 6pm
Club Praia da Roche is cheap but very chearful, minutes walk from the beach and a fun town. Don't dismiss a £99 deal... Weather may be hit or miss but jeez its a good deal and you could easily spend a day up in Foia..
I'm Portuguese and I have a holiday apartment in Portimao... so take it from me, and book a different hotel! lol
Check Prainha Clube for example. If you like to be around the pool all the time like I do, you'll love their "atlantic pool".

It will not be for the same price though... lol

I went to Alvor in the Algarve last October half term and it was very hot - around the corner from Portmiao. 30c most days. And for the non-believers I’m sure you could somehow check the historic weather on the internet. Great country, great people and great weather. Can’t wait to go back. Btw a bloody good deal!! Heat

I was there 8-18 and you are right best days were 15-18 April. Amazing place. Loved it.
April is noutoriously rainy in Portugal.
If you enjoy the sun, plan for June, July or August. September is usually okay and November is when the rainy days start to appear again.... but 2017 was an exception. I spent 2 weeks of November in Portimão that year and it was stil hot AF!
