The first six movies from the popular street car racing franchise. In 'The Fast and the Furious' (2001) undercover cop Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) is assigned to the Los Angeles illegal street racing scene to search for the criminals behind a string of hijackings. His prime suspect is Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), whose passion for Japanese fast cars is only matched by his enthusiasm for stealing hi-tech equipment. In '2 Fast 2 Furious' (2003) O'Conner finds himself on the trail of another group of underground car enthusiasts. This time the location is Miami, where O'Conner has been making money out of street racing and is asked to bring down the drugs baron Carter Verone (Cole Hauser) in exchange for the wiping clean of his criminal record. In 'The Fast & the Furious: Tokyo Drift' (2006) street racing loner Sean Boswell (Lucas Black) avoids jail time by absconding to Tokyo to live with his uncle in a cramped apartment. In the land that gave birth to the majority of modified racers on the road, the simple street race has been replaced by drift racing, an even more deadly combination of brutal speed on heart stopping courses. Sean inevitably gets drawn into the racing and the complexities of the underworld which surround it. In 'Fast & Furious' (2009) fugitive ex-con Dominic Toretto reignites his feud with agent Brian O'Conner on the streets of LA. But as the two men find themselves facing a common enemy in the form of a heroin importer, their attempts to infiltrate his operation result in an unlikely alliance. In 'Fast & Furious 5' (2011) ex-con Dominic Toretto and his sister Mia (Jordana Brewster) are forced to enlist Brian's help once again as they find themselves cornered by a ruthless drugs gang in Rio de Janeiro. But the Rio gangsters are not the only ones on Dom's tail; wily federal agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) has also been assigned to track down Dom and Brian, and will stop at nothing to corner his prey. Finally, in 'Fast & Furious 6' (2013), following their lucrative Rio heist, and unable to return home, Dom and the rest of his compatriots are forced to kill time lying low in different locations around the world. When DSS agent Hobbs offers Dom and his crew full pardons in return for taking down Owen Shaw (Luke Evans)'s gang of mercenary drivers, the offer seems too good to pass. But as the rivals head for a showdown on the streets of London, Dom learns that Shaw's second-in-command is none other than his presumed dead former lover, Letty (Michelle Rodriguez).

They are UV codes, which I redeemed quite recently, so most likely still redeemable (as long as you do it before the end of the month). With UV closing, ensure you create and link a Flixster account (who are also closing down, but are planning to move all the content they can onto Google Play).

So ultimately you should end up with Google Play versions, which is obviously much better anyway.

I've trawled thru my email and can't find this email you received about Flixster movies / TV shows moving to Google...starting to worry now as I have over 50 films in my library!

Sorry for the additional questions, if you wouldn't mind answering them...

1. What was the actual date you received the email ( above) from Flixster referring to the transfer of films etc to Google Play?

2. Have any or all of your library migrated across to Google Play?

3. Have you redeemed any more UV codes on Flixster since 31st July? Did those show up in your Google Play account. I did, about 8 and none are in my Google Play account!

Apologies for all the questions. Appreciate any suggestions you might have ... cheers

Then this on 28th July:

To Flixster Video users:

As you are aware, UltraViolet will cease operations and shut down its service on July 31, 2019.

The shutdown of UltraViolet will not impact the titles in your Flixster Video collection or your ability to view those titles, as we have worked to retain each user’s video collection information on Flixster Video. You can also continue to redeem valid digital codes for movies and television shows on Flixster Video after the shutdown, but these redemptions will no longer be added to your UltraViolet account and will only appear in your Flixster Video collection.

We informed you in an e-mail last month that Flixster Video is planning to shut down its website, applications and operations later this year, and that we have made arrangements with Google Play to enable you to migrate available videos in your Flixster Video collection to Google Play. While we had expected the Flixster Video – Google Play migration process to be available in July, this migration process is not yet ready and available for Flixster Video users. We expect to launch this service soon and appreciate your patience.

We will provide you further notice and information once this migration process is ready and available for Flixster Video users.

Thank you,

The Flixster Video Team

2. No, nothing in my account has been migrated to Google Play yet.

I have not received an further email since the 28th July with any information regarding linking a Google account to my Flixster account, so my thinking is that while new codes (at least some) may be being redeemed via Google Play right now, it looks like the migration of existing content is still to come.

Signing into my account on Flixster still shows no sign of any ability to link a Google Account.

3. I am pretty sure I redeemed The Martian directly on Flixster a week or two ago (shame it doesn't show redeemed dates but I am pretty sure). It showed up only in Flixster, not in Google Play.

I think the codes that were redeeming directly on Google Play were Sony Pictures codes that were being redeemed through Sony's own UV portal at sonypicturesstore.com/login/

I could be wrong but that is what I seem to remember reading.

Hope that helps.

Thanks very much for making the effort to respond to all my questions. I really appreciate it

It looks like you've received more updates and communications regarding all the proposed changes affecting first UltraViolet and then Flixster. In fact I haven't received anything at all directly from Flixster. Every time I try and contact them my emails just bounce with an error message!

As someone who predominantly uses Android / Google rather than Apple / iTunes or Amazon video in principle I'm comfortable with the plan to move my library over, but judging by their strategy to keep customers reassured I think it leaves alot to be desired.

They committed to update customers about the migration to Google Play in July....it's now late August 👎

Thanks again and fingers crossed the migration from Flixster to Google Play works out for all of us.

Still haven't received anything from Flixster directly though...god knows why I'm not getting any updates from them!!

Once again thanks for letting me know...you are a top member in the HUKD community
