Good deal but I would be quite wary of using this for banking etc. considering they have to be using your data to earn money. It's impossible to sustain a service on that price.

I have a similar one from VPN Unlimited which I got for 27 USD for a lifetime sub. I only use it for P2P downloads so works fine for that usage.

I'd hardly trust any VPN out there for banking to be fair.
Tested this company and wasn't impressed. Too much of a slowdown and other issues

What would you say is the best I currently use IPVanishVPN
Coupon doesn't exist.
I use avast secureline, buts its £25 per year. Completely worth it though, doesnt slow down streaming and download speed, they dont keep logs of what u do
I live in a retirement village with free WiFi. If I get this product or similer will that mean no one clever enough here can spy on my internet activity and make my banking online less able to be hacked? Choosing a respectable company must be top of the agenda to prevent them being hacked?
At £12 its probably worth a punt. But yeah I won't be opening my Swiss bank account website on it :P
Many vpn start off with cheap lifetime plans, they are not meant to be sustainable but to get the user base up and name out there. At some point they will stop offering lifetime to new customers and just do time limited eg yearly.
They state don't keep logs and based in cayman Islands, so should be okay. I found speeds fine, its just they don't have all the servers they say or not on all the time, you need to fix ipv6 and dns yourself as their software does not stop leaks - easy to do though.
any decent ones for firestick kodi etc?
any better alternatives out there in the same price bracket?

Hi Ralph. Free / shared WIFI is a risk in itself so is very far from ideal when used with anything such as banking etc. Technically the traffic between your browser / app to the bank's server is encrypted 'end-to'end' (meaning it should be secure) but in reality, on a WIFI service you have no real control over it's still a real risk.

Unfortunately so is using banking services via a VPN. Whilst the VPN does create a secure tunnel between you and the VPN destination you'll have no idea who that VPN destination is, and that creates a big security concern.

So the short answer is, No, this wouldn't be a solution that I would recommend for your usage pattern.

windscribe works with the firestick and is often on socialstack, it comes with dedicated netflix servers as well.

yes it encrypts end to end so is the safest route on that sort of wifi, banking is different and though apps are encrypted its not recommended.

You are right about finding a respectable company there are plenty out there which say one thing and then do another, not many have been proven in court for example when it comes to logs being kept. Some companies say they don't log but then are found out in court. Private Internet Access is one of the few who have proven in court they dont log but this is a serious business so dont take my or anyone elses word for it do some research and make your own mind up

It's as leaky as grandma's pants.... plus the big stream companies have blocked it.
You get what you pay for.
Deal code stack maybe? Get an extra 10% off your first (use a new email!) order with SS

Code no longer working sadly

I have paid for IPVanishVPN last couple of years they haven’t missed a beat and good reliable speed
Just got this vpn, speed test without a vpn on was 40 mbs and 22 upload
Speed test with vpn on is 112mbps and 26 upload so it's a winner for me
Judging by the tests it's as leaky as a sieve so you may as well not bother!
Which tests? I don't care aslong as it will let me torrent without getting emails from my ISP frankly as thats all i am ever going to use it for
Can anyone tell me please, is it possible to only use selecting apps via the vpn? eg Chrome, Steam, and Plex to continue bypassing the VPN, but all torrent and Firefox traffic on the vpn?
The code does not exist - so I guess this has expired?

Same for me. Just substitute "JUNE" for MAY.
On a sidenote, this VPN seems to work better through the Openvpn app.

Thanks for that. I’ve got OpenVPN downloaded but it can’t seem to find the correct configuration file to run on my system. Weird :/
