If you think about privacy this VPN service sounds really good. Fastest VPN has completely renewed design and created an even better service than before.
They support plenty different platforms and devices and for me, which is the most important, they are based in the Cayman Islands meaning they are not part of the "5, 9 or 14 eyes" countries so no logs.

Some of the added advanced features:

  • Smart Connect (connect to the fastest server on a single click)
  • Split tunneling (choose which apps they want to use VPN on rest apps without VPN)
  • supporting USA Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney+
  • new app for Smart TV, Fire TV Stick, and Android box
  • locations are now increased to 41 and servers 350+

Google play review looks good too:

  • P2P optimized servers let you download & stream HD video w/ zero buffering and complete anonymity
  • Utilizes military-grade 256-bit AES encryption on all of its 350+ servers in 41+ Locations
  • Unlimited server switches and bandwidth
  • NAT firewall provides an additional layer of protection
  • Malware protection ensures the sites you visit are safe to access
  • Adblocker prevents unfavorable ads from popping up on your screen
  • Internet kill switch protects your IP from being exposed if your connection drops
  • Split tunneling grant you access to choose which app to use through VPN tunneling
  • Smart Connect lets you connect to the fastest server

Winamp, is it you?
You can't get a proper service for this price which means customers are the product.
I bought lifetime FastestVPN and it most certainly isn't the fastest VPN nor is it a good VPN. App is horrendous so if you want to use it I strongly recommend OpenVPN (speeds also improved by using this).

I just ran a speed test, FastestVPN UK server hit 58mbps on OpenVPN but it takes at least 5s to connect, app doesn't connect.

Surfshark got 66mbps UK server via OpenVPN and via app. Took under 1s to connect via OpenVPN.

Nord got 70mbps UK server via OpenVPN and 69mbps via app. Took under 1s to connect via OpenVPN.

Speed tests aside, FastestVPN just takes longer to load even the most basic things like HUKD.

...how does it provide US Netflix access?
Can I use my UK Netflix account if using VPN to get US Netflix

...how does it provide US Netflix access?

You'll need existing UK netflix, log on to a US server via the VPN and then login to Netflix USA. The site thinks you're in America and you'll have access!

My VPN (not this one) only has 1 or 2 that work on Netflix US, as I think they're clamping down big time.
Speeds are crap, truly awful, but it works!
This is expensive. I bought this a lot cheaper in the past and posted.
They are ok, but a lot of the servers don't work sometimes or you get logged off.

...so it is simply hit-and-miss, while Windscribe has dedicated Netflix servers in US, CAN & JPN
It's pretty poor as a VPN. I recommend Windscribe or something instead even though this is cheaper.
looks like they are improving, read the lastest review of PCworld

Decent price, though windscribe dearer but superior
I’ve been looking around for a VPN can you guys drop some suggestions? What’s the best one?

I like and use NordVPN. They have deals on most months. Just do a search on here to see previous deals and links to their website.

Annoyingly Netflix and Amazon Prime don't work with Nord VPN, at least not for me.

Exactly. Maintaining servers costs money. Support costs money.

£15 isn't going to last long, fortunately they can sell on all your usage data to advertiser's when the pot runs dry.

I mean in the UK accessing UK version of each app. I have to disable Nord to be able to use them.
Been using this for about a year, can't complain, good torrenting speeds. The app (on PC) doesn't seem to update itself when needed though, just stops working every so often and have to go to their website to download latest version. Is there a setting I'm missing?

PrivateInternetAccess is very good. Never had a problem with it.

PIA got acquired by some new company that is a bit dodgy but then again can't really trust FastestVPN yet either.

Jamie could I ask what settings you're using on Surfshark? I have it and the speeds are so good but I'm finding when using my iPhone Surfshark can take ages to connect before it'll load Twitter/FB etc.
I have ipvanish. Installed it on my Mac, iPhone and iPad. Works pretty well and does what I need it too.

I've heard the opposite, they are very transparent about what they do and how they do it. Their blog has lots of information if you want to check more.
Out of interest why are people bothered about whether a VPN does Netflix US? There are other ways to get this content (and more) elsewhere.
Can you access amazon prime through it directly on mobile phone? Currently got surfshark and can only access amazon on pc, but not on mobile. Travelling abroad and need it for the kid.
Unfortunately, Amazon Prime video cannot be used via any proxy or VPN, AFAIK!

I'm using this VPN and I tried the London and Paris servers. Both worked. I've just done a where's my IP location test and that shows correctly as London/Paris. I'm using an iPhone.
The PC World review seems to be more positive, if you're looking for a basic VPN for ad blocking etc it seems to fix the bill.
