Have to say I’m rather sceptical of company names like this... it’s like they are trying to convince people by using their name rather than any evidence of being a good service.

Code BFCM19 takes $2 off to $18. Haven't tried this specfic service so no comments on it's quality tho.
I've read too many negative comments about this VPN to consider it - cold for me.
Worst VPN ever I purchased a life subscription from them few months back for £25 worked initially for a couple of months then stopped. Reinstalled app, tried on different devices, contacted their customer support no help!! Save yourself the hassle find another VPN service
Save yourself money, time and hassle, don't get this vpn. works fine for the first month and then stops working

hmmm
their configs are old / errors ?
It does seem to work, but I get this message when connecting :
Warning: This VPN may not connect in the future.

The OpenVPN configuration file for 'UK1-UDP' contains these OpenVPN options:

• 'comp-lzo' was deprecated in OpenVPN 2.4 and has been or will be removed in a later version

You should update the configuration so it can be used with modern versions of OpenVPN.

Tunnelblick will use OpenVPN 2.4.7 - OpenSSL v1.0.2t to connect this configuration.

However, you will not be able to connect to this VPN with future versions of Tunnelblick that do not include a version of OpenVPN that accepts the options.
And this message when disconnecting:
The OpenVPN log contains the following message:

"Unrecognized option or missing or extra parameter(s)".

This error means that an option that is contained in the OpenVPN configuration file or was "pushed" by the OpenVPN server:

• has been misspelled,

• has missing or extra arguments, or

• is not implemented by the version of OpenVPN which is being used for this configuration. It may be a new option that is not implemented in an old version of OpenVPN, or an old option that has been removed in a new version of OpenVPN. You can choose what version of OpenVPN to use with this configuration in the "Settings" tab of the "Configurations" panel of Tunnelblick's "VPN Details" window.

See the VPN log in the "Log" tab of the "Configurations" panel of Tunnelblick's "VPN Details" window for details.

Does it work for everyone else ? Should I follow this up with fastestvpn ?
Edited by: "jaffamuffin" 24th Mar
To backup what everyone is saying avoid this. It's terrible. I gave up on it and went for KeepSolid as it's always on offer.

Really poor
Lifetime subscription to a service like this is just a pyramid scheme.

No new customers = can't pay bills for existing customers.

They are 2 different tools made for different things so this comparison is stupid. You dont download large files or stream via the tor network for example although that doesnt stop idiots from trying. If you were browsing the dark net then you would use tor or both if you had it.
Have used it over a year. Been downloading files like 20gb and over. Works fine for me tbh
Has anyone in the UK managed to use FastestVPN to successfully access the US Disney+ library? I keep getting error messages. Just want to watch Frozen 2.
Worked for me so heat from me.
I used FastestVPN back in February 2020 in Miami to successfully watch MOTD & MOTD2 in my hotel (using location London 2).
Without having to buy single user VPN add-on too.
I was well pleased I'd bought FastestVPN on a previous lifetime deal.

Windscribe on the other hand, did not facilitate BBC iPlayer.
Not enough Windscribe servers I would guess.
So BBC able to detect many users from same ip address & block them.
------------------------------------
iPlayer & basic public wifi sniffing blocker was all I needed it for as I don't Disney, Netflix etc.
---------------------------------------------------
Don't need it at all now -
No pub, no MOTD, no international travel.

Don't get too close people.
Staying at home.
Fastest vpn has never worked for me
for iplayer when ive been i Europe a few times. I vpn through myhome susyem and that works instead but the utility of fastest vpn is questionable imo
Ordered and ended paying around £13 with BFCM19 code.
ordered on 26th of March and have been testing since, it works great, speeds are good, helpful online chat support, I'm happy with the service
You get what you pay far. You always will
FastestVPN - only just when compared to Modem dial-up
Just like to say, ive signed up, CHANGED THE PROTOCOL ,and im getting 100% throughput.

Very pleased - was more like £14 when i finished the purchase but who cares, its free for life if i ever need it.
