Ah here! You have to say it's an Irish/British sitcom. A collaboration, especially as it was devised and written by Irish men, starring a predominantly Irish cast and filmed in Ireland.
‘That would be an ecumenical matter’
I hear you are a terf father.

It was produced by a British company (Hat-Trick Productions) for a British television station (Channel 4) and the interior scenes of the priest’s house were shot in a London studio. I was actually surprised to find that out, I had always just assumed that it was filmed in Ireland.

Proves my point that it's fair to call it an Irish/British COLLABORATION. Also the outside scenes filmed in Ireland:

Such a classic show, not a bad price at all

I don't HAVE to say anything, ya fecker!

I get what you mean. I only wrote that because on previous threads I have (in all innocence) lauded this as my favourite British sitcom and been bombarded with MURR MURR IT'S IRISH! When actually, it was made by Hat Trick and broadcast by Channel 4, both very much British companies. It's like saying that a video game made and published by American companies is something other than American because it's set somewhere else and/or many of the developers are not American.
Top show , Heat!! Drrriink!!!

Again, proves my point that it's fair to call it an Irish/British or British/Irish collaboration. Still one of the best - never gets old. I grew up around the corner from Father Jack!
Why don't people just watch it for free on C4's All4 service? I believe it's in now in full HD...
