I suppose the same can be said for most TV series. Just depends how much of a fan you are and how much you want a complete collection DVD.

Well you certainly can't beat watching your favourite shows on a 4-inch window and Mosiac-o-Vision.

I love FT but £29.99 does still seem a bit pricey.

I will wait until it gets posted below £20!

The picture was jerking around so much they looked like malfunctioning robots when I just looked at it...

iPlayer...Veoh...it's never going to be popular enough to overtake DVD or TV.

was £25 at the same site a few months ago!

This deal is for the Father Ted Definitive Collection DVD boxset. Yes, these episodes are no doubt available to download ad hoc off the web and yes it may have been cheaper on the same site a while ago.

This item is obviously aimed at the fans that want the whole collection nicely presented.

Unless anyone can post a current cheaper deal on this exact same product surely all of the previous comments are immaterial and missing the point of this site a bit.

 Sorry, didn't mean to start a row - and I didn't vote this cold. BUT, free IS cheaper. If you want to buy the whole caboodle and if this is a good price for you, then buy it. I do not mean to slap down your OP.

However, I just think it's worth pointing out to people that there are many, many episodes available for download. Obviously my sub-1Mb internet connection is far superior to others - because I've never had "jerking about" when I download video (sounds like someone is trying to watch off air and being hit by bandwidth problems).

Of course it's available for download. Almost every piece of software, music, movies and media is in some way or other.
