The Fatman iTube amplifier is a compact and powerful 25W per channel valve amp, offered here on its own without an iPod dock, allowing you to use it as a standard hi-fi amp, or add an iPod dock later. This is one of the coolest valve amplifiers around and one of the highest value valve amps ever, offering the smooth, warm, rich sound of valves along with a powerful 25W per channel, now for a bargain price!

The iTube amplifier includes 2 line inputs for your CD player, tuner, tape deck, DVD player, PC, laptop, iPod dock etc. It features 3 valves, one of them even includes a VU meter at the front which moves with the music and looks great with the lights dimmed.

Just add speakers and enjoy high quality, warm sounding music.

Valve amps sound very good in my opinion.

maybe so, but it looks ugly/tacky....id rather spend the money on a proper amp eg from denon or even onkyo

also debatable re: sound quality...its not a proper valve amp and for a digital source music player that would be a bit pointless anyway

yes i have heard them....sound was at best acceptable

no stock !!

All depends on your ears and your age as to what you think of these, Ugly? No, thats personal preference though. Sound quality is far more genuine than digital, thats preference again. Price .. cheaper by £20 at least than anywhere else.
Hot deal, thanks.

er, its not a valve amp!!! lol you have been duped!

couldnt have put it better myself

"Customers should note that this is not a valve amplifier. It's a solid state IC amplifier with some valves attached. The lack of output transformers is an obvious giveaway - and less obviously these are not power valves. It's a little disappointing that WhatHiFi should not have spotted this. Do not buy this thinking you are getting valve amplification."

oh, my music system cost £000's, and no i wouldnt buy this

For £115 you could buy a 2nd hand digital surround av receiver amp and floorstander speakers if you looked hard enough.

maybe but purists nowadays would go for a proper music amp and speakers, av amps are usually geared towards movies, not pure music...denon amps are superb esp for the money but esp cheap either

older pursits would stick to pre-amps and amps and a proper record deck a tape deck and maybe even a cd player

Hybrid amps valve/transistor are probably the best.

Most Hi-fi equipment is sold on self-delusion. I saw an optical fibre digital audio cable the other day that had gold plated connectors.
