Fazley FTL218NT Electric Guitar (Natural)

General

If you're looking for an affordable TE model guitar, Fazley has multiple versions to offer. This is the FTL218NT, which has a gorgeous look thanks to the remarkable ash top. The FTL200 has a lot in common with its American role model, but at a much more affordable price.

Construction

The FTL218NT has a basswood body that gives it a well-balanced sound with some clear trebles added in by the ash top. It also has a brown blackwood fretboard and a maple neck to contrast that clear sound, as brown blackwood offers pleasant warm overtones. The result of all this, is a well-balanced core sound with clear mids, bright trebles and powerful bass.

Hardware and Electronics

For the FTL218NT, Fazley chose a vintage-style top-loader bridge with three saddles. To keep that style going, it's also fitted with two bright-sounding single-coil pickups and a tone control that’s as simple as it is effective!

'always' heat for a tele !

if you're going to go down the fazely route apparently this is the one to get...about 140 quid

    bax-shop.co.uk/ele…BwE

50176951-nU3tA.jpgand if the pickups are not to your taste bung these in for 65 quid

check out the review by john robson on youtube.....apparently it's got a great neck ...which is half the battle.

Do you plug and play pickups or are they soldered?

Great price for what looks like a decent first guitar. If this deal helps just one person learn to play for life, then it's all good

Cheaper than a build your own kit guitar!

Quite mad that they can be making any profit on these at this price (in the current climate). Probably not amazing at anything, but as long as the neck is straight and the frets are level then whatever it's like it's just a bit of googling "how to set up my electric guitar" away from being "decent".

If you've got any experience with modding these are a great buy!

Fazley guitars are decent for the money. Have a look at the Fazley Phynica series which is discontinued, amazing value. hOT

I bought one of these and I can tell you the quality and feel is really poor. Maybe worth getting if you’re a beginner wanting something to trial a new hobby but otherwise I would advise to avoid

Once you whack high gain distortion on these cheap guitars (which most of us do with Telecasters), honestly who can tell the difference between cheap and expensive.

Just enjoy and have fun - I bet anyone a million quid that Slash or any good guitarist can make this sound incredible.

The worst thing about this guitar is probably the tuners and nut, otherwise a bit of time on setup and intonation is definitely needed, for me the pickups almost don't matter at amateur level as effects in general mask the tone anyway and this is an absolute steal IMO.

In a way this is probably not good for a beginner due to the setup that is needed and most beginners don't even know how to adjust the truss rod, or bridge for intonation, and probably a better guitar for a level up from beginner who just wants a Tele at a good price understanding guitar setup and possible mods.
