Well, yeah, but you could have posted that comment on every DVD / Blu-ray / Film / TV show / PC game thread that's ever been posted on here. Are the streams free and legal? No, of course not.

This put me to sleep

I couldn't really give a toss about the moral/legal aspects of streaming and am fully aware that the worst that's likely to happen is that your ISP might cut or throttle your connection. My point was - out of all the freebie or deal threads that have been posted here - why did deviouspaul leave a fairly idiotic (and obvious) comment about being able to stream it for free, legal loopholes notwithstanding, on this particular post?

He could have done that with any of these very recent deals/freebies

Maybe they should ban any deals or heads-up posted here that can be streamed from dodgy Russian sites on the basis you won't get sent to prison for doing so.

Streaming

Illegal streaming allows you to view unauthorised copyrighted content on demand without downloading the illegal file. Websites may stream directly or provide links to content hosted on other websites. Both hosting unauthorised content and providing links to unauthorised content is illegal.

Illegal streaming sites often provide a subscription service whereby you can pay to stream illegal content. These sites can often host advertisements for legitimate products or services alongside the illegal content. They may also use trademarks, cover art and provide a plot summary or cast list as a means to fool consumers into believing that the website is legal.

haha you fool, you didn't even read your own information. If you read it you would learn that it states "Both hosting unauthorised content and providing links to unauthorised content is illegal." If the end consumer, i.e Me, is watching the stream, there is nothing here that states it's illegal. it's illegal to host the stream (the person who supplies and uploads the content) and it's illegal to provide links. If all I do is find the website and view it. There is no law. COME AT ME BRO!!

I'll continue to watch all of my sport and tv online for FREE until there is a law against it!

2nd episode is already out. Why risk getting it spoiled. Just download it

I did read it, you just didn't understand it. The risks are very minimal from unlawfully watching content on illegal streaming sites but it is still a civil offence as you are breaking copyright law but you will most certainly never be prosecuted because they focus on shutting down the site hosting the content rather than prosecuting or fining the person viewing the content.

Then there is also the moral part of it, where people like you happily viewing your content through these streaming sites don't realise that it has an affect on the creative industries and you are putting the jobs of many skilled workers at risk. If everyone streamed there content illegally, many of the shows you watch wouldn't be made.

the walking dead is long past its sell by date tbh!

OK Well decm have fun with paying 20 quid to BT to watch the show (since only the first episode is free) and then if you want to watch it again on a Blu ray buy it for 30 quid. Also you shout about it like its murder which it clearly isn't and since even though its a grey area I'm pretty sure Daniel is doing something completely legal and just because you don't like it doesn't mean you have to fight with people about it because we are free to do whatever as long as it doesn't break any laws or harm anyone.

There is no fight and it was never my intention to cause one. Daniel was just rude to my original comment. I'm not shouting about it like it's murder, I just have a different opinion on the matter. A lot of my friends view films and TV shows through streaming sites, it's a choice, I'm not going to cause arguments or stop talking to them because we have different opinions. Check for yourself, I have not once said it's illegal, I simply gave a few facts.

Back on topic, I'm not going to watch the show because I don't want to subscribe to the BT service to just watch this one show, I'll just wait until it's out on Blu ray. I think we can agree that BT's TV service is not worth the money especially when compared to NowTV and Netflix. I think it would have been better and have made a lot more sense if this show aired on Fox. Fox already has people watching The Walking Dead on their channel so if it aired Fear the Walking Dead it would already have the fanbase and it would make it cheaper and more accessible for the fans.

Now, this should be a community. I think we are all here for the same reason. Thank you to alex_dis, I'm sure this post helped a lot of people who wanted to check out the show and that's the main thing. We should be happy about that.

Thanks...all I was trying to do was give a heads-up on an episode of a show that would normally be behind a subscription and it bought a lot of unnecessary and defensive comments about streaming / downloading. Fine, we get it - but this information wasn't meant for you. Just walk on, and don't leave daft remarks. People on this site baffle me sometimes.
