Here's the puff.......

The winemakers of South Africa certainly know their stuff, because they have blended the colombard and viognier grapes to perfection here. In France, the colombard grape is used to make Cognac and Armagnac and in South Africa, it takes on more of a tropical fruit taste with a lovely floral aroma. Viognier, on the other hand, is more gentle. Have a sniff and see if you can spot honeysuckle and apricots. Now this is where it gets clever. In one glass you have a soft rounded white wine, all delicate and floral. Yet there's also a twist of lemon in there too and that makes it perfect to have with a nice risotto, a carbonara or a mild Thai curry.
