This is a Fender Stratocaster with some great modelled guitars and alternative tunings using Roland COSM technology built in. This is the cheapest it has been and consequently they have none left in stock but they are on pre order with the next delivery due on Tuesday 18 th November.

For the Roland Product page for this guitar see here -->‌ roland.com/pro…-5/

The Black with Maple Fretboard model is here -->‌ andertons.co.uk/sol…asp

The Sunburst with Rosewood Fretboard model is here -->‌ andertons.co.uk/sol…asp

Also note that, to save on batteries, the CN1 power supply can be bought from Andertons at 50% off when buying the guitar. That's £17.50.

A mate bought one of these and he loves it. I borrowed it for a day and absolutely hated it (I felt it took the 'feeling' out of my playing), so definitely a 'try-before-you-buy' affair (as all instruments should be imo).

Still, this is a good price, so I'm voting hot on that alone.

Likewise - played a strat and HATED it. Definitely a marmite guitar. But a good price so hot from me.

you could look at it like a real strat, which it is, but with some modern extras. if you are a versatile musician you can get so much out of one guitar.

check out these demos by steve stevens, (it won't make you sound like him though!)

That's a good way of looking at it. It's a great Fender guitar with all the other modeling/tuning goodies thrown in at a decent price. That said I think it's based on a Mexican rather than a USA Strat - can anyone confirm?. Then again my old Mexican Tele was much nicer to play than my USA Tele so if this is a Mexican Strat then it wouldn't put me off.

Thanks for the Steve Stevens video links, some great demos there
