£441 for a Mexican Strat? I initially got excited and thought this was for a USA model! oh well, that aside my experience of both Fender/Squier has been that over time, the quality is goin down and the price is goin up! What y'all think?

Wish it was the USA one, unfortunately only the MIM (made in Mexico) is in my price range. I will add it to the title that it is a MIM.

there have been some good Gibson deals on here recently, so i thought we might see a sub £500 USA strat a boy can dream! Good spot anyway OP, everywhere else seems to be £460+, only other place i seen matching £441 for a MIM strat (in Candy Apple Red), was Mickleburgh Music online, only 1 left though!

Can't speak for their online service, but it's my local guitar shop and where I have lessons too. Good guys, knowledgeable, helpful, and usually competitive prices too.

Would you consider buying a late 90s / early 00s from eBay? You could get a nice MIM for sub-400 or a USA for under 6. Much better players than new Fenders in this price range IMO

The made in Mexico Fender Strat is better than a Korean , Chinese or Indonesian made squire Strat

I would definitely go eBay. I managed to pick up a 2013 MIM strat for £265, excellent condition and had been set up.

But... would you take a MIM Fender over a MIJ Squier?

Last good strats were made around 1965 before Leo Fender sold the business to CBS. After that they just lived off their name.

Deffo mate, don't know how loads of artists over the past few decades have been able to play these hideous CBS Strats! It's not like some of em don't have the money!
