Friendly reminder to try to take conscious decisions to avoid palm oil …Friendly reminder to try to take conscious decisions to avoid palm oil products where possible. As delicious as Nutella is, it's full of the stuff!
Is it in stock currently at Lidl? I need to buy nutella.
I saw plenty in stock yesterday in my local SW London. Decided to buy a 400g jar of their own hazelnut spread for £1.09, its taste is as good as Nutella's and the price is much sweeter

I use to love this stuff but after I received a jar over Xmas and read the label, it's quite shocking how very little chocolate or Hazelnut is in there.... Basically your paying a hefty price for what is essentially Sugar & Palm oil.

The tiptree one is expensive so only have it for a treat. But it's delicious an PO free.

While i wholehartedly agree, the inconsistency of the moderators on this forum is infuriating. This is a political statement. I had a comment deleted for political reasons when suggesting people check the background before purchasing Giro, Bell, Blackburn or Camelbak cycling products.

Same. It's basically chocolate butter with 50% sugar. Sometimes I think more knowledge is a bad thing. I can probably never enjoy this product again :-/

SPREAD IS completely DIFFERENT TO "BUTTER".. It is like comparing vegetable spread to BUTTER.
I am quiet sure your reference to 70 % hazelnut will be a "hazelnut butter" rather than a "spread".

does Nutella contain no palm oil at all?
It does, though it is on the SLIGHTLY friendlier scale in that it is Sustainably sourced apparently.
