Picked one of these up last year, manufacturer was "Walter". I like the trigger at the cable end, rather than the piddly little slide/flip ones on similarly priced stuff. I've only done a dozen concrete slabs with mine and it was perfectly happy with it, and for £20 it's basically disposable money.
Hope they do a 9" version soon. Missed the Lidl deal.

Does it come with enough blades or did you have to get replacements?

No discs, but they usually sell some at £2.99-£3.99 when the grinders are in. You'll get 5x1mm metal discs or a single diamond one for that. I have a 750w Guild grinder from an Argos offer that also cost me £20, came with no discs and the switch is far up the body. This one gives you more power and leverage and reminds me of 9" ones.

Ive just bought a 4.5" Makita MT grinder for £36 but I probably would have gone for this at half the price if I'd have seen it. Looks decent for the price though it doesn't seem to have soft start.
Does it have soft start?
All gone online. Amazing.
A paper cut will cause more damage than this thing

Bedtime - school in the morning.
Hate this type. Impossible to use single handedly. Or does the trigger lock on?
FAKITA
This has a variable speed control, you don't often see that on cheap grinders.

I have one in my collection that's a few years old, it's held up well (obviously an older model).

Now available again, just back order so grab one quick if you need one.
Brought 10 for ebay
These are quite good for what they are, a sub-£25 grinder. A good cutting blade on and it'll be fine for hobby/occasional use, i use one for cutting stone down to size (marble, limestones etc).

Whilst some don't like these for the trigger switch, they are safer than the paddle switch. At least it's not under full load when you accidentally drop it and the blade its the floor, or as i had this year with a paddle switch grinder, it tears out of your hand, bounces off something then hits you in the chest! You really shouldn't use one 1 handed if you like having fingers!

Thanks a lot, just grabbed one. I've always found Aldi and Lidl DIY products to be top quality for your average DIYer. Plus they all come with a no no quibble 3 year warranty which even the pros don't offer.
Do they have the discs too?
Thanks for posting; we have added this to the Highlights section
Thanks
I ordered yesterday and it has been dispatched today.
Of course I just bought a 750w one from Amazon for almost £20 more than this, great timing.

Received on Wednesday very good quality and it looks like copy of the makita 2000W for £99

Bought mine last night. Couldn't find any blades for sale and member of ALDI staff was confused too. How can you sell this without blades? Goggles should have also been sold too. Anyway, does anyone have any recommendations to where we can order blades?

If you Google ' 125mm cutting discs' you'll find plenty of places - just be careful not to order the smaller size 115mm
