That price isn't entered by the OP, it is something that HUKD add, I have asked several times where they get their prices from.
That brand of multi tool is not sold anywhere else in the UK so who knows how they come up with £44.99
ruheluddin8615/10/2019 21:46

How good is this???

I had the older Aldi version and it got me through a full house renovation. Cutting old solid metal gas pipes, neatly cutting floorboards also used it with some tile attachments that worked well. Thing is a bit worse for ware but still works perfectly fine! Great buy!

Great price OP well spotted. 🔥
Is it for wood only or might work for metal?

It’s mostly for wood. As it just oscillates as oppose to spin it won’t have the power to cut metal. There are blades to cut wood with the odd nail in it. Saying that it’s a great tool to have especially at this price.
Can this chop quite thick branches?

You would be better with a reciprocating saw

I have a different brand version of this and I disagree about cutting metal - I'm not suggesting you could cut the hinges off a safe with it, but for me one of the top uses for these multi-tools is the ability to cut pipes in confined spaces -one of my favourite tools, but I'd buy it for that alone.
In fact, at this price I may well pop round to Aldi and get one of these for messier jobs.

I agree totally. I have used it to flush cut some copper piping but for anything heavier and you’ll be looking at a grinder or reciprocating saw

The Watts n Oscillation looks good! Think I’ll have to buy 1 at this price!

The strange thing is, good deal as this is, so many people vote hot or cold depending on the supposed "saving" off RRP that HUKD magically enters. I wonder how hot this would be in comparison if it said the RRP was £20 instead.

Did you have to buy a different end to cut wood?

Nope just used the included tools. Worked fine. Teeth have worn down on it a bit so it cuts slower now. Really need to replace it but its still working ok!

Would you rather have a bargain multitool, or a bargain multitool and a fried egg penny sweet?
Just ordered. Free delivery as well even thou under £20
Although these are invaluable at times there relatively slow to cut and blooming noisy. Yesterday cut a hole in 18mm mdf to fit a light switch socket only cutter I had was the semi circuler one as in pic took over 20 mins as cutter only goes to about 14mm deep, should have drilled and jigsawed in about three minutes but not such a neat job.

Anyone know what type of connection this is? My old 'universal' blades don't fit and pop off because their centre hole is too large. Is this the new Starlock fitting?
Received this the other day, looks SOLID!!!

I believe the blades are definitely not Starlock.

There are blades here professing to be explicitly compatible with this tool:
amazon.co.uk/Sax…55/

Elsewhere on this manufacturer's page for those same blades it lists the compatibility as:
saxtonblades.co.uk/fei…ipt

These blades fit the following Multitools:

AEG
Aldi Workzone
Bosch (excludes Starlock)
Argos Challenge Extreme-(Battery)
Argos Challenge Extreme-(Mains) + Adaptor
B&Q Mac Allister (MMT108-LI)
Batavia
Clarke
Duratool (D01962)
Einhell
Fein (excludes Starlock)
Ferm
Lidl Parkside
Mac Allister- with Mac Allister adaptor
Makita
Milwaukee
Renovator + Adaptor
Ryobi-1plus-With Ryobi adaptor (Stored in battery compartment of Multitool)
Silverline
Skil Multitasker
Terratek
Tesco
Tooltec
Wolf
Worx Sonicrafter + Adaptor
saxton also on ebay with this nice set
