As promised giving some feedback this lawnmower that I got the other day. Overall first impressions were very good robust and heavy which makes it feel well built. The setup is easy and straightforward and had it all assembled in less than 5 mins.

Quite large as expected with 44cm cutting width

Decent amount of power and doesn't give up even when grass maybe tough to get through e.g. being damp, higher length of grass.

The backbox is very sturdy and probably one of the best I've used and much better than my Bosch 37 that failed on me after years of use. However, downside to this is it is quite small compared to others I've used in the past so having to empty it more frequently.

Handle bar has a foam wrap.around it so makes it comfortable during use. Also the lever mechanism is good and comfortable to use when powering it on.

Overall, wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to any one looking to buy one, worth every penny and has the 3 year warrenty if something went wrong with it.

Attached some images for reference and before anyone asks, I wasnt mowing my carpet

Literally just bought and used this, fantastic for the price and comes with 3 year warranty.
Does a nice cut and will mulch as well. My garden is quite large and uneven and this coped very well with it, the grass was damp and no problem. Quite quiet, It replaced my larger petrol mower and can honestly say does just as good a job but wont rust or have trouble starting. 7 adjustable heights, 90db sound, quieter than petrol.
Oh they do a petrol one as well for about £80 more but Im very happy with it. 10 metre cable too short for me but no problem as just use extension...throughly recommened , thanks OP

Ultimately if it works to an acceptable standard it has a 3 year warranty to back it.I guess depends what you expect for £80. I’m not expecting much so i hopefully shouldn’t be disappointed in any case!Edit: The spec was what sold it for me. Decent blade width with roller and a decent output power.

Btw Aldi warranty is very good based on my experience. Had to claim for a heated throw recently (before lockdown) - just called a UK number and a chap called Clive answered. Just wanted a scan of the receipt emailed and sent out a replacement by courier. No quibbles etc or need for a video of the fault like Banggood etc.

I have never heard bad things,in my experience, of Aldi customer service. This was their warranty service company and not Aldi so even better as I would expect a third party to be hot on pushing off claims to save handling and shipping.

Thanks, just to clarify for others this is electric but is mains powered and not battery powered.
Was tempted by this due to the spec but is it too good to be true? Is it poor quality?

I bought the Spear & Jackson 32cm from Argos for £70. Had great reviews but when I got it out of the box it’s horrible quality. Feels like a kids toy so that’s going back.
You stumbled across it?.... Where there's a blame there's a claim
I picked one up today as I've been looking to get a new one as my old Bosch motor packed in. Will give it a go this weekend and post my experience on here.
I bought one last year and can say they’re very good. Just used it for the first time after the winter and the height adjustment worked really well on my long grass. Would recommend.

it reads like youre giving him stick for his use of the english vocabulary. obviously ive interpretated it wrong (my bad if so) or you’ve conveyed a sarcastic response by accident. i’ll let you pick which one.

Thanks, good to know! I’ve bought in the past with the 3 year warranty but never been in a position where anything has let me down to be fair (touch wood).

I cant comment on the Aldi one, but don't write off a Bosch lawnmower just yet, particularly if you can get one on a good Amazon or similar deal.
Very well made and just work year after year.
Mine (36" rotary cut so nowhere near as big as this) was about £70 ish quid on a mega deal, a few years ago on an Amazon deal.
Never had a Bosch garden tool fail yet.

Anyway, best wishes for what ever you buy.
My old Bosch one is a Rotak 36 and i've just checked Amazon and you cant even get one. Elsewhere they are double the price of the Aldi one, so ignore me as its a massive price difference between the Aldi one and mine, way too much.
Seems like bargain. Others with similar specs cost double or more? I ordered. Thanks OP.

I’m going to email now. They should have delivered Friday which didn’t happen, they’ve sent no tracking details, so going to use that as my reason to cancel.
Like you say, worst case I lose on whatever their delivery charges/fees are.
Where would one get spare parts for this - i.e. a new blade, drive belt and so on?
