About this deal

Directed by John Hughes and starring Matthew Broderick, this is an 80's comedy gem

One man's struggle to take it easy. After high school slacker Ferris Bueller successfully fakes an illness in order to skip school for the day, he goes on a series of adventures throughout Chicago with his girlfriend Sloane and best friend Cameron, all the while trying to outwit his wily school principal and fed-up sister.

Seems like a pretty boring film, is it worth paying to watch?
    It's a fantastic movie.

    Chicka, chick, aaahhhhhhh.
I remember having a cassette recorder pressed up to the speaker of our TV trying to get this tune on tape back in the day

It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

erm its a cult 80's classic. A kid throws high school and decides to make it a day to remember so gets his girl, a ferrari and spends a day avoiding all responsibility (and the bods pursuing him) - crashing into clubs, art galleries and even a Maceys day street parade.

The precursor to the rest of the 80's brat pack movies : the Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles and Pretty in Pink. The director went on to make such stuff as national lampoons vacation, weird science, uncle buck, planes trains and automobiles and home alone

BY todays standards a bit tame I suppose but certainly I enjoyed it so think its well worth this price. And if any of the film names above resonate you will too. But don't just take my word for it...

    7.8 / 10 on imdb

Very American. An amazing score on IMD. Maybe influenced by it's American origins. Maybe for people of that age now, which certainly isn't me And of course, you're not actually buying anything anyway, just renting for an indefinite period (edited)

Awesome film but you need to have lived or be into the 80's to really appreciate it. Mia Sara........ is the other reason you need to watch it.

I had on video, DVD, and bought on Blu-ray last year cheap. Don't think I need an online digital copy. Also what if you cancelled Prime or closed your Amazon account?
In theory, it's always yours to keep but if you closed your amazon account (not sure what the point of that is ?) you wouldn't be able to log in to watch it.
The other problem with digital purchases is that moods change, more people get offended every day, and what is acceptable today might not be tomorrow and you could find the hard-earned movie you bought no longer available
