why would anyone like to go to France?

Stunning countryside, great weather, the French Alps, culture, great wine to name a few.

Or we could all sit at home reading the daily mail in our onesies fearing being attacked by immigrants at Calais and blown up by radical Islamist's further down the road.

I know what I'd rather do.
Two days ago went to france , long queue at dfds we had p&o nearly no queue. At the time of booking was same price but time suited better.

If going add an hour queuein before getting onto ferry due security searches. Average wait was 40 minutes at 10pm...

£28 each way on a boat taking 90+ minutes or £30 each way on the channel tunnel in 35 minutes.... I know which I would choose.

not from 22 when the kids go on holiday. this is mostly for families
shame I booked with them 3 days ago for 86 return minus cashback
which is 10% at the moment.

Never seen them that cheap apart from day return. Usually the lowest I find is £59 each way.

To get revenge for 1066?
:-)

Hmmm, tough choice... not to mention the French women - ooh la la!

Good deal OP - have some heat!
I'll take a rain check on this deal.
That's quite poor price for a channel crossing. Considering P+O charge less during their offers, sometimes doing £20 day trip returns for something DFDS is charging £80 for.

"Not from 22"??? What are you on about?

"mostly for families"? Where on earth does it say this?

The £23/£30 Day trip or overnight stay rate is on all year round.

I agree, I went to Paris in May for a 3 day break after the EgyptAir flight crashed from Paris to Cairo and experts said it was more than likely a terrorist attack! I still went and had a great time!

Yes all good points, but worse than all of that is the fact it's full of French people!
It's saying service unavailable on their website for me, wonderful!
It's working now, but it seems the sale is only for cars not camper vans, no good to me
Not far off what it costs as a foot passenger. There may be some fairly fat passengers out there but surely my body puts a tad less strain on the boat than a 4x4?

That is a very long journey. They used to do deals of a 2 night mini cruise for £79 each, but you only got a few hours there.

Oh, what a witty remark!
During our many travels in France, the French people we met have been overwhelmingly charming, polite and helpful. Mind you, I don't know how they would respond if faced by a bigot with a closed mind.
No good to me either with the Campervan
No good to me either with my Hummer H2
