Expect this to go very cold - Doubt if many here have heard of festool and the idea of spending £700 on a saw will boil minds :P

This would be for someone looking to recoupe their outlay.

Lots of better ones out there and a lot cheaper than £719. My Evo Evolution cuts wood ,plastic ,steel ...............owt you like and under a ton new.

Can't compare a Festool to DIY brands now Festool are in a different league. That would be like comparing a Bentley to a fiat. Now if it was the car Mitsubishi Evo vs a scooby I know what I'd go for

Ok then , so if there that good , how come we have never heard of that make .

I'm a tradesman , been buying all sorts of tools for over 40 years . Many of the tools I started with I still have and use ,apart from the rechargeable drills as the Ni-Cad batteries fail .All tools will do the job if used correctly and with-in there capability's .

I'm careful about the price I pay for stuff like this as with garage's , vans & work premises being broken into it's all to easy to have your complete tool collection nicked completely .That would be the reason why I would never pay such a price for a mitre saw like the one above or for a tool in the same price league.

Not saying you can't do any of that, but a carpenter might have have more chance of hearing of this brand. I agree, you'd might not take a £700 mitre saw onto site (depending) but you'd want a good one in your workshop if you're doing joinery.

Ah yes , hadn't considered that point . cheers

Is this any good for cutting 32 mm off the 3meter length of Minerva worktop. I'm in the market for a new saw but wondered about blade choice too
