sorted byThe wiring gauge doesn't matter. Like a lamp, it's going to be handling almost no current.
Realistically these should last longer, unless you get a suicidal squirrel or start poking your hands into the sockets, which is a shock risk on indoor 230V lights anyway. I always avoid the 12V ones because they always put on the smallest, cheapest transformer they get which runs hot the entire time and fails prematurely.
They really are IP65 and are excellent quality. Obviously more expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Ive changed the bulbs over around 3-4 times in the 8 years
But what idi ot would place a network of electric bulbs plugged into the main over a swimming pool (last picture). (edited)
