Ultimate Edition is £46.99 ... With Discount its £36.99

Doesn't seem like you can use this online this is something you quote at the till...

have also read somewhere if you spend £50 you get £5 voucher

Cannot be reserved for store pick up according to the Argos website so unless you just walk in and hope they have a copy you could be disappointed and knowing how **** Argos are for stock not sure I would want to risk it if I wanted a day of release copy!

i gave hot thinking this was a good deal but its too much of a gamble for a day of release purchase. has anyone been instore and placed an order for this using the discount code?

So we go instore (on Friday), check if FIFA 13 is in stock, if it is, say ''I've got a discount code for £10 off £40. It's 24073'' and buy it for £33.99?

Thanks

hot if this works! where did this discount code originate from?

Hasn't it been considerably cheaper than this on release day for the past few releases?

Looks like some people have had a few issues with this code

Sometimes, but only if you spend X amount in store at a supermarket first

This is a good price if there are no strings attached!

In the link on the OP for the code it has 'ucas' in it. Unless I'm mistaken that suggests that the code will be for students and you may have to provide proof via an NUS card?

Quite happy to be corrected but I'm not rushing off to Argos to be turned away or pay full price.

No, not really.

I managed to get it for 24 quid last year, that was after spending 51 quid (with the help of a 5 quid off voucher from a red top paper) at tesco on fifa12 and F12011 and then selling F1 to cex for 27 quid cash.

It was about 36 quid in asda if memory serves. Long gone are the days when loss leaders posted by the big supermarkets were the norm.

Ah ok, I have student I.D. so either way should be covered

That may have something to do with the huge big black bold line that clearly states "QUOTE CODE 24073 AT THE TILL IN-STORE".

Weird how this slightly up in the air deal is hot, yet the Sainsbury's deal where it's just 40p more but delivered to your door (and probably early at that) was voted cold. This site makes no sense half the time (well, the people who vote don't, anyway). hotukdeals.com/dea…e=2 - it's expired now by the way.

For people who want to guarantee getting this on release, in store is the way to go. I have seen on previous deals that sainsburys are far from brilliant at delivering games on release date. Besides there had been other online deals for much cheaper prior to that sainsburys deal

This year Pro Evo is Back!!! Check the demo, awesome gameplay.

dont say that iv got the resi 6 steelbook pre ordered with them

tho it does say processing on my order already

Not a bad price if you've left it this late I suppose. I've just had my dispatch notification from The Hut for the £20-when-you-buy-some-pants deal they had on.

Original Poster

Obviously I cant say it 100% works until day of release but as some people dont really look at links, open the one in the description and it clearly says IN STORE

Is it true you have to purchase an online season pass with this?

Game comes with a code for it, so if you buy new then no. Second hand, it is likely to have been used so then you would.

Don't do this, supermarket deals will be far superior. Last year I literally got my copy for £15 at Midnight.

And how much instore shopping did you have to spend to get it at that price?

Guess I'll be having a trip into town on Friday then.

literally talking out of your ar$e more like.

Some supermarkets may reduce with a £30 spend on shopping or something but the deals haven't been that great for a couple of years. Yet still people vote £30-35 deals cold coz they recon Asda will do it for 47p when bought with a block of cheese.

£10 off £50 spend - FIFA 12 for £25 when bought with another chart game. Purchase 12 month +1 month free Xbox Live for £25 + FIFA for £25 = £50 -£10 Voucher = £40. Sell the Xbox Live for £25 (Or just keep it) = £15

£15 for FIFA 12. Happy now?

No. I explained how I literally purchased FIFA 12 for £15. £25 is also very cheap for 13 months of Xbox Live.

Regardless, you should always wait for the supermarket deals.

£37 is worth it for the ultimate edition I think, thanks OP.

No, you theoretically purchased it for £15, not literally. You didn't literally hand over £15 for Fifa 12, clearly stated that yourself. You told us your theory of how you theoretically ended up only being £15 our of pocket for Fifa 12.
