Wait for this to go on EA Access and save yourself the STRESS of getting scripted losses and the BOREDOM of getting scripted wins next year please haha! Even when you've dominated every single stat at half time and full time, it is still highly likely somehow, the kid you're playing who doesn't know half of the skills/button commands what you do, still beats you 1-0 or 2-1 or sometimes even 5-0 or more. When you get them randomly scripted matches where you can't keep possesion/make more than 2 accurate passes consecutively/ hit the target with an open goal from the centre of the goal from 1 yard away. Or my favourites, every time the player you're controlling doesn't respond to your button commands and also decides to fall over for no physical reason and when the auto-switching mechanic literally does not work at all for most of the match because EA decided to make your world-class team incapable of playing football, even at amatuer level for the next 90 minutes. Also I have won alot of games on the previous 6/7 Fifa games where I also knew for a fact that I was being given scripted wins as the same things I have listed above where 100% happening to the person I was playing against. I could see it myself ALOT and they would also tell me this in a party chat.
If you're happy to experience that ^ hundreds of times throughout the next year or more, then line the pockets of EA who clearly do not reward players for being good at their game and only care about money from pre-order sales and ultimate team points to spend on in-game packs. The latter in my opinion is encouraging kids to start gambling at a very young age too which is obviously wrong and should be removed from Fifa.

Whats wrong with informing people so that they don't waste nearly £100 of their hard earned money? Just get rocket league if you want a fun sporty game, it's literally £16 at full price and it is actually skill-based, whoever is better at the game usually wins about 90% of the time, whereas on fifa its alot more inconsistent, to the point of it being unplayable if you are even slightly competetive when it comes to gaming.

From a business standpoint, it's fantastic. They've managed to hook children to buying the same game every year and futher milk their daddy's pockets dry with microtransactions.
as deals go, this isn't a deal

£71.99 if you buy from ingame offer AND Ea Access.

So my 9k FUT rating was planned from the start. Damn, I thought I was good at the game.

Only takes 7 months before its added to EA Access and there's still thousands of people playing. Certainly not dead.

I'm happy enough to wait until then, used to buy it on release every year but done with that now. Same thing every year, especially online when its full of sweaty twats.

I'm seeing £61 for the icon edition in Argentina. How are you getting that price?
Does this still work, not tried for a while but my purchases from Argentina failed with Revolut last time I used it.

By running fifa 17 with an active EA access subscription, there's a link to buying the icon version in the menus for an additional 10% off, so 20% off in total from the already decent Argentinian price.

As the game is officially out now, that offer may or not be there anymore though.

Have a read again. Donut!
A lot of people will say that FIFA contains scripting. They are partly right. However, the real culprit in FIFA is Slider Manipulation. If you have ever had a game where suddenly your start studded team play like bronze players, then you'll know what I mean. They turn like trucks, can't make a simple pass, etc.

What causes this is sliders being manipulated behind the scenes. If you play offline, pause the match and go to the "user customization" tab and you'll see sliders for things such as pass error, shot error, run rate etc. These sliders are being tweaked in real time behind the scenes in all the game modes such as FUT.

Therefore it is utterly futile to spend money on the game in terms of packs, because regardless of your super-powered team, sooner or later you will be suppressed by the hidden sliders.

EA are utter scum. After all, they won the worst company in America award 2 years in a row ahead of the likes of Enron. Avoid like the plague.

Wish i never bothered posting this. Some strange people
A lot of people just don't get this website at all. It isn't about personal opinions, it's about deals!!!!! This is not under £89.99 from any U.K. Sites, So for £71.98 its a good deal for someone who enjoys Fifa, if not well skip and don't hate on the poster that has given his time up to post this to help people who are interested save money, which is what this website is about, some people forget that! Heat from me OP
People voting this cold because they are bad at the game!! It’s a £89.99 game for £72.98. Hot.

it should never be £90 to begin with. What would you say if PES was sold at that price. Just because it's discounted doesn't mean it's a good deal. It's still £72 ffs. That's a rip off for what is essentially FIFA 17.5 with a face lift and roster update. Absolutely abhorrent tactics by EA. You have to be an idiot to fall for their greedy schemes.

But the 'Standard' game isnt £90, this is for extra content that 'May appeal' to those that make use of the Fifa Ultimate Team Mode; in terms of the loan players and packs that would normally need in game micro transactions to buy...

Those with Ea Access would save more as well (10% off online prices). Which is probably a large % of those that use Fifa and play the FUT mode (as quite the norm for them spend more on it)..
