Shhhhhhhh!

Fantastic film. The part where he's working in the cinema changing the reels is brilliant.

“You are not your job,
you're not how much money you have in the bank.
You are not the car you drive.
You're not the contents of your wallet."

The book was great, amazingly the film was even better

I am Jack's abject disappointment in bobbyarbogast.

Great film, managed to introduce a whole generation of men to homo erotic subtext.

Still a modern classic in my eyes along with 'The Game' which I highly recommend. Only quibble with the film is that the rules of Project Mayhem were never really outlined like in the book but that aside personally my favourite Fincher film.

Tyler Durden says

This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time...

The generation that was too young to have seen Top Gun?

'fight club 2' is being released in May I think as a Graphic novel.... The first 6 pages are online somewhere for all to see. It seems Jack marries, but his kid has learnt some disturbing skills.

Top Gun came out (so to speak) a full 13 years before Fight Club so by the time they reached the right sort of age (say 15/16), it was already the sort of film that their dad liked.

Surely anyone who was old enough to watch Fight Club in '99 would have watched Top Gun as a kid though.
