Was posted recently, but got expired even though it's still available in some stores. It's also in stock in the Aberdeen B&M.

Here it is: a case of premature expiration. hotukdeals.com/dea…012

Oh dear. Maybe you should get a refund. Where are the olives sourced from?

This is what it says on the bottle "Blend of olive oils of European Union origin" "Bottled by: Sovena España"
Doesn't look good (_;)

I still have the receipt. I am taking them back!!

extra virgin?
does that mean it hasn't been ****** with?

Actually the exact opposite. Lots of manual labour & hard graft.

I got the last two bottles from my local yesterday.

.... and do not forget, olive oil can also be made with olives

And I thought £4 from Home Bargains was a good deal! Heat!

Quite surprised people kept walking past them. Although I had to put one back as oil was slowly getting deposited on my hands when walking around with it.

Many people would've missed that even if not expired. Need some heat tho' to topple that.

Decent stuff at a great price, its a bit sharp on its own, but compares to top quality stuff to be honest if its drizzled on salads etc.

Lidl are quite used to sell german or elsewhere manufactured products and then stick the word 'made in Italy', sadly barely anybody prosecute. Just bought a Berio metal tin of 'italian' extra virgin olive oil (£7+ for 1l) and it shows that they even use olives from tunisia.....blame the EU....and those silly quotas..

When we were kids we loved having bread with olive oil....chopped cherry tomatoes....salt and pepper, a fresh version of bruschetta, for breakfast. If its good, believe me it wont be 'sharp'.

Well, genuine Italian stock of Olive oil generally doesn't come cheap. I paid something like 15 euro's for 500ml of extra virgin oil when in Italy this year. I'm sure however if you went in their supermarkets you could get oil that's more mass produced for less.

Definetely however i know too well how ppl get ripped off by this 'high quality' olive oil. I am Italian and the only way to get good oil was from farmers, same goes with wine. Mass production olive oil is cut with cheaper oil and colourants/preservatives. Rip off Britain continues...

Well, we know we can buy more expensive oil even in supermarkets but most of joe bloggs would rather not. I can't see how you can get extra virgin olive oil mass produced on the cheap unless farmers have huge plots of land dedicted to just olive trees
