I would go to Lidl this weekend and pick up 750ml bottle of their Extra Virgin Olive Oil fro £1.59. Much better flavour.

Well, its olive oil made from olives - but extra virgin olive oil is generally considered a better product and is usually more expensive , so it makes the Lidl stuff look even better value compared to this.

Good price for 250 ml. However, Costco currently have Filippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil on offer until 20 March @ £16.99 for 5 litres = 85 p for 250 ml.

Considered by whom and for what purpose? Evoo is not a better product to use whist cooking as it has different properties to standard olive, therfore I don't understand your point.

Too right, use this for cooking, though I would rather use rapeseed or sunflower oil for cooking. For salad dressing extra virgin is a better deal. If you want cheaper olive oil for cookign , then there are plenty of other unbranded oils which is cheaper. Buying from a Chinese owned food company, where you have no idea where the oil comes from is not something I will be rushing to do.
