Hopefully this screenshot will work, taken today so it doesn't show the updated price:

What a great deal!

This is a mistake with the online wording and they won't honour the £1 price whether or not you have a screenshot.

They'll fix it by the morning.

ClashInDevon

ordering now, this has got to be a mistake, but worth a punt at that price. Thanks for the post

gone with the wind? :?

been fixed now, shame

The misprice is still showing for me. Tesco have always honoured these for me when emailed.

Ah well. 99p shop sells 500ml bottles of olive oil.

It's still showing for me also and for sure people may get the deal if they argue their case. There is no guarantee of this though and in my experience Tesco customer service aren't always the most accommodating.

to me its no mistake from your title if you it read carefully.......£3.69 (thats the price after the £1 discount) Was £4.69 Now £1.00 Price Cut effective on deliveries from Tuesday 4 August - valid from 04/08/2009 until 25/08/2009 making it now £3.69

However your screen shot is misleading from Tesco as that does make you think its only £1!!!

It is a mistake, but frankly your 'read carefully' advice is ridiculous. There is a clear indication that the price you will pay is £1.00:

SAVE £3.69 Was £4.69 Now £1.00

I agree..that's double confirmation..'save' indicating how much you are saving and 'now' indicating current price. Both indicate a £3.69 saving.
Whatever happened to 'save a £1..was £4.69 now £3.69'...typical tesco chicanery.

And that's the thing. The Filippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil 1lt Plastic has exactly the same form of words, only this time it seems to be a more realistic offer:

SAVE £1.00 Was £5.98 Now £4.98

Clearly then, the first figure is the amount you save, the second figure is the old price and the third figure is the new price. To argue that it is saying anything else is, as I have already said, ridiculous.

Ok the SCREENSHOT is clearly an error by Tesco as it does appear to be for £1 and the wording on the screenshot should have been put at the top as it would make more sense

However its not ridiculous at all considering you missed out 'price cut' after Now £1 because if you read it like i did you will see it states:

Spotted this on the Tesco website.
£3.69 Was £4.69 Now £1.00 Price Cut effective on deliveries from Tuesday 4 August - valid from 04/08/2009 until 25/08/2009

The underlined bit is to emphasise the price cut of £1....which does not mean the price is now £1....
