S'true, but they do have a rockin' sale

I've ordered from them before and it says in stock and you pay for it and get a confirmation email. Then a little while later you get the "Sorry that item is not available" email - grrr :x

I echo the above. ****** online experience that I'll never use again. In store then fine, but I rarely want anything when I'm near the store!

I'll not be bothering, every "70% off sale" i goto consists of little more than a dozen items in the whole store. The rest is the going rate if you shop around - least at their Oxford St branch it does.

has it not started online - I can't find it advertising starting tomorrow (unless I'm going mad)

Started on line, i typed in www.debenhams.co.uk/sale and that worked, not sure you have to though

Ta got some Duffer jeans for 15 quid!

what a load of rubbish !

Dunno about instore, but that's about the worst online sale I've ever seen!

Darn, I didn't buy as I figured they must be coming down even more in price and I missed out on the jeans I wanted

V poor sale, already not much left

sorry but that has to be the sorriest sale I have ever clicked onto ..... debenhams haven't got a clue about sales

Debenhams are the new dfs when it comes to sales plus don't get me started about the customer service arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

lol, Guys, just reading through your comments. Lets just say I am someone 'in the know'. Basically, Debenhams is continuously on sale in most departments. What you get in this sale is items that haven't sold in the last sale - WHICH WAS COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO- and by that I mean clearance rubbish from several seasons ago. All they is add in a few hot deals on home (DYSON), of which they keep 7 in store of each one.

Next real sale is Christmas eve - they start their traditional 'boxing day sale' one day early. They begin marking up items on christmas eve and so begin their sale at this time without actually advertising it.

So guys, voted cold, but don't complain because you get stuff on sale all year with Debs, so if you don't find what u want, just wait four weeks till the next sale

There are about 3 things with 70% off! It seems to be worse since it was been taken over- not even nectar points anymore!

Icouldn't find anything i wanted with 70% off, just half price, and then out of stock - waste of time online - perhaps better instore?

Ive just looked in certain parts of the above i.e gifts, i.e accessories and theres nothing in that department! load of ****

Awful customer service, shocking original prices and not much of a sale anyway. Don't know how this got so hot, but I'm not condoning it.

totally agree, their Customer Service is the worst I have ever experienced and you never get half of what you ordered anyway.
avoid is my advice, waste of time!:x

Cold from me.

Couldn't see anything that looked remotely good value in homewares or men's fashion.

I'm minded to believe other posters when they say nothing good here.

I think Debenhams do themselves a disservice with these constant sales - like Play.com. I don't bother looking now - I wait until the end of the big summer and winter sales and only go when it really is 70% off lots of stuff. Unless there is something you specifically want, it's often bettter to wait. As the credit crunch bites I think we will see a lot more of these 'sales' as shops try to shift stock.

Thanks for the heads up, though, there may be some instore bargains.

I could not find anything than 50% off summer things. :-(

Everyone here has been complaining about the Debenhams Sale ... Wonder how it got that much heat then ... its at 536 degrees ....

I'll help push it down ;-)

I have had numerous problems with Debenhams and their online sales and will never use them again. They are useless.

These quotes are negative, but it's at over 500 degrees

:?:?

I've gone through this a couple of times hopefully get more than a refund this time.

I've just managed to pick up the Jamie Oliver Anodised saucepan set for £144 plus £5.67 quidco. So over £60 off the £200 full price :-D

Been after these for a while now.

someone found something useful then :-D

 Went to the Merry Hill branch and found some cracking bargains. I also took out their Store Card and saved another 10% off the sale items( This ends today ). If you pay off your Store Card balance by the Due Date you don't have to pay any interest - Brilliant.
Heat & Rep Added.

I've just been in the Nottingham branch, admittedly only looking around the menswear dept., but trying to find something that was actually marked down by 70% was like trying to find rocking-horse poo! Plenty of big banners advertising "up to" 70% off, but I didn't see a single item.

Sounds like tesco direct whenever they had specially low offers

I got a Ben Sherman winter school coat for DS1 down from £50 to £15 and a pair of nike 3/4 pants for £6, and long nike trackie bottoms for £4.50 - cant complain really! A case of right place right time - kids were at a party at the Trafford Centre.

 Cheers worked for me got some school trousers for my boy:)
