Final fantasy IX on sale for £11.99 @ Google Play Store

Been waiting awhile for this sale myself, it was £20.49. Worth noting this is a fairly solid port from what I've found so far. Plenty of inbuilt QOL over the original. It does require an Internet connection on start up and it will check again every few times you open the game.

Due to the size of the application, the download may take a considerable amount of time to complete. The app uses 3.2GB of space. When downloading the game for the first time, you must have more than 4GB of space available on your device. Version updates for the app will use more than 4GB of space. Please ensure that there is plenty of space available on your device before downloading.

The prices of square games is shocking on the play store when you compare them to other brands/games. I know these are ports of massive games but still.

*heat as it's still a sale which is very rare!

£12 for hundreds of hours of content from one of the best RPG's from the PS1 era (or just in general) is still fantastic value for money imo. Especially if there's a discount on Google Play vouchers somewhere.

And for the record, FF top 5: VI, IX, XII, V and VII.

Yes I agree. Compared to other play store games they're very expensive. But all depends on how you look at it.

The World Ends With You is really difficult to find for the DS, which is was originally released on, and is expensive. An alternative is the Play Store version @ £12 IIRC

Only issue with the high price tag is you then weigh in.

Buy an emulator app for £2 and download the game for free...
Or buy the game for £12.

If these were around a fiver I'd consider it. At £12, I'm put of from the high price tag.

Illegally!

Truthfully, I'd personally grab it for the ps4 during a sale sometime.
I play VII on PS4 now, it's great, IX is the next one that I bought. I tried VII on phone using emulator but did not like it.
I thought this was the RRP for this? I bought it awhile back at this price and thought it was expensive. £20+ is way to steep.
I think they've actually upped the prices recently on their games as over had some in my watch list for years in case I miss any sales.

Big fan, how expensive? Still got my PSX disks, I know which way I'm going.
