As noted FFX2 is a single use voucher. Not only that, you have to access it from the launch screen of the main game which you cannot launch without the cartridge, which is bloody annoying

Bayonetta was 2 in 1. And the first game had a separate launcher!
There’s no speeding up time modifier in this version FYI. Still enjoyable, of course, but worth knowing.
One of the best FF games. The actual fighting, story and characters are fantastic.

That said, the trials are a complete nonsense and the Blitzball parts felt antiquated in 2002, and they really haven't aged well since then. Both really slow down progression through the game.

Remove the trials and Blitzball parts and this would have been the perfect FF game.

**minor spoilers** To be fair, there is only one mandatory Bltzball game in the story. Only have to play it more if you want Wakka's ultimate weapon abilities. One of those marmite minigames, I personally enjoyed it. Your team can become OP way too quick though. The chocobo races were quite the let down though. We need FFVII's chocobo races to make a comeback!

That's annoying, I bought this for about £20 off Amazon, was going to try and flog the code for ffx-2 as I don't like it but looks like it wouldn't work for someone else then

Correct. It’s pretty crappy of them in my opinion - whether they just didn’t think it through or it’s a deliberate jab at the second hand markets... Not only does the seller lose access to content they ‘own’ the buyers misses half the content as well.

They could very easily have either had a separate launcher; or still left the FFX2 content off the card and have it as an ‘in game’ download without the code as other games have done.

I know, but FFX remaster only ever launched as a 2in1 game!
