I wouldn't pay 50p for this.

Made me want to bleach my brain and pull out both eyes.

Remember when FInal Fantasy games were good? Yeah... this isn't.

I don't think day one literally means day one. It's just the name of the standard version.

Nope. It came with DLC that wasn’t available with the standard edition
Heat for the post but isn't this the usual price on this site? They occasionally up it but this was the price last time I checked.

I actually liked it. The dungeons are really fun and the world is spectacular. Sure the story line is pretty soso. But there is tonnes of content

I enjoyed it enough to see it through, but yeah I personally found it severely lacking in a lot of places
Hugely under rated in my opinion. Great game and well well worth it at this price. Been playing it a big again in 4K on the x and it’s stunning.

I'm in the middle of a FF7 play through atm. I don't understand why Enix decided to change the FF series into an action game when the original JRPG style ones had such a loyal following. Why not create a new series to do what they want to do?

Anyways, I haven't brought a FF since X-2 for this reason so I won't vote either way. It seems like quite a lot of game for the money to be fair.
So I gave up FF at FFXIII. Is it still boringly linear? I miss the old games.
Heat for this garbage. No wonder gaming is dead
So much game here for this price. Heat added really enjoyed it
I bought this 2 years ago from Argos and I've only played about 3 hours, can't get into it. I miss the old FF.
I remember I pre ordered FF XIII lighting returns on ps3, played 4 hours on release day and haven't touched it since. The series has gone downhill
+ Heat for the price though

Still linear. This is better than XIII imo. But the battles/attacks etc are very repetetive
The price is apt for this game. I really wish it was a bit more fleshed out and was not as bland.
£5 is worth it as you can use saved up money for the dlc

Sorry my bad. I misread the price. In that case definitely cheapest it's been

Probably easily done when both numbers are the same upside down
This game I have it's not that good IMHO
I bought this on release day and I genuinely didn't get this game. I didn't even realise I was finishing the story line... Then it ended and I had no idea what happened?

After googling it, it turned out there was an extra game and a film to watch that filled in major gaps. Prequel and sequel stuff. I couldn't be bothered that the story wasnt all encased within the game and never bothered trying to fill the gaps.

Add to the fact that I never truly grasped the battle mechanics either yet never lost a boss battle? (Was there even a challenge?) Button mashing to win!

This game completely disillusioned me from the franchise.

On the plus side - it is beautiful!
Played it about half way through, I just couldn't cope with the hair.
when does the day 2 edition come out

what? how did you not realize when you go back to the city and there is a million big fights and you fight the main villian, and what extra game

I know after the main land exploration bit everything else is rushed and I do kinda like the story for a bit but the best one for me was the Kafka one 3 or 6 or whatever u wanna call it

'boringly linear' has to be the nail on the head.

I don't know why they messed it up. They create these amazing worlds then never let you explore them and amazing characters but you can never dictate their journey. It's so frustrating.

I'm just glad I'm not alone in my thoughts. Is the remake of ff7 linear do you know? Or is it a proper remake?

I don't know tbh. For me, the beginning of the end came when they abolished the world map (in 10?) but at least that was still turn based. It was officially all over when it went to action.

As someone who was offended at the thought of a non turn based remake of 7, I got so excited when they made out like 'classic mode' was turn based. Turns out that it isn't at all, it just puts the action in 'auto mode' until your character has earned a special move (which then goes to a menu looking like it's turn based but isn't). This basically treats you like a beginner as whilst in auto you're taking hits that you wouldn't in manual.

The only think that could save the remake in my eyes is if they did a world map like in the original, then at least it wouldn't be the boring linear thing we're talking about.

Ah the world map. Yes! Finished in X-2 I think. Damn I miss it.

I thought X-2 gave you a list of places to go but it still wasn't the same as a world map. The whole fun of it was finding a cheeky little cave behind a waterfall or something.....that gave you game changing materia!

Oh yes, the nostalgia Do you have a PS4? If so you can get all of the originals i.e. 7-9 on download for around about £12 each. I'm loving my replay of 7 right now.

Omg this is the best news EVER!!!! Thank you!!!!!!
£5.65 is totally worth it for my favourite part of this game: right at the very beginning when you load it up and it hangs you on the title screen with the BEAUTIFUL music (somnus instrumental) while it takes half an hour to install to the hard drive! The rest of the game was entertaining if totally bland story wise and completely far removed from what I consider to be a ‘Final Fantasy’ experience. That menu music though.....
Not played a final fantasy after ff9

What's happening?
