I have never played any of these games, but have always wanted to give them a go... Any advice on where to begin (PS4) for a newbie to the series?

They're all separate except from Final Fantasy X -> Final Fantasy X2 and Final Fantasy XIII -> XIII-2 -> Lightning Returns. So you can start pretty much anywhere.

This was literally the easiet FF I have ever played. It is a good start. And also it looks stunning. But not the best FF I have ever played, story-wise.
Thanks for the help guys, might pull the trigger on this so. Cheers Mixmixi
For those who know..

Is the DLC/Season pass content included on the disc or is there a code to redeem?
Dropped in price quickly after release, I will bite at £15

Came late to the party on this one and only just started playing... on chapter 3 - 60 hours in and level 90... this I will just mosey on into the rest of the game now
Is it worth getting this over the FFXV Royal Pack if I already bought the game and season pass at launch?
Tempting, but the knowledge that the extra content is provided as one use codes and that there's another season's worth of content coming this year makes it less so.

I have sneaky suspicion I'd buy this, never get around to playing it, then buy the complete version next year because it's cheaper than buying the second season pass. Then wonder why I have bought 3 discs for the same game, all with only the base content included.
