Similar to a deal already posted but on a 3 year scale and aimed at savings once graduated.
This deal is for students only and focused at final year students:

Students in their final year of university (as well as other years) can order a 3 year NUS extra card for £30.
This must be done before the course end date and allows students to benefit from another 3 years of NUS benefits.
For an extra £10 you can get a 3 year Gourmet society bolt on which affords you the same benefits as Gourmet society members at a fraction of the price.
The 3 year Gourmet society card usually costs £209.85 so that's a saving of £199.85!!

With the Gourmet bolt on the total cost is £40!!
Cards may be collected from the relevant student's union for free or delivered home for £1

NUS benefits may be found here: nus.org.uk/en/…ts/
They include discounts such as 40% at pizza express
10% off Amazon
10% off shopping at co op
etc.

Gourmet society benefits may be found here: gourmetsociety.co.uk/

benefits are up to 50% off at over 6500 UK food outlets

gourmet society is useless . it doesn't work most of the tasty restaurant. Their search function is so awful.

I agree about the search function however if it saves me cash a couple of times per year, I think its still worth the extra £10. I suppose it depends on the individual and how likely they are to benefit from it

You can use this on your phone for the next 9 weeks for free temporary Gourmet Society membership

Agreed Gourmet society is a pants card. Its always seems to be chasing the Tastecard though in terms of deals / restaurants

Can i get this card. I am not student :-(

Surely this deal requires student email though?

Had a NUS card since starting Uni, not used it once...

Everything that you can buy from the shops with discount you can buy online for a lot cheaper anyway... Or maybe thats just me.

How do you get the 3yr card? I only seem to have a 1yr option...

can someone explain whats the difference between nus extra and nus.

How do you get the 3 year deal? I can only extend mine by 1 year?

amazon is 5% discount only (10% only for clothing)

I bought a new NUS in December and went for the three year one since I graduate this summer. Great deal!

I got confused about this when I started uni too. An NUS card is your standard uni ID card that you get, with that you're entitled to standard student discounts that stores offer. With an NUS extra card you're supposedly meant to get extra discounts that you can't get with a standard student ID. I've found that most of what I use my student discount for is covered under my normal ID anyway.

NUS do offer other discounts, but as I said I find it easy to just live with your standard ID (NUS) discounts. I am graduating this year though so I'm considering getting this because I'm going to miss my student discounts!!

So this can be used the same as your normal student card? Isn't just specific to NUS deals?
Might get this before I leave uni this year just because I know I'll buy another Mac before those 3 years are up. But then again people are saying you don't even have to be a student to get student discounts on macs...

why is this getting hot when its not being explained how to get the 3 years ?

It depends. Plenty of places offer student discount rates (museums, galleries, cinemas etc) as well as high street shops. I wouldn't say I've saved loads of money, but I've definitely saved more than the £10 I paid for the NUS Extra card. All down to the individual I suppose.

I get way more than the cost of mine back from Amazon alone!

Yeah, I agree. Unfortunately for me, I'm quite the loner so I don't visit places like that :P

I have an NUS extra grad card, but I've found this year that loads of clothes shops now only accept Unidays. Might be worth mentioning.

Spotify £5 instead of £10, gym membership £17.50 instead of £25 (most gyms money off), new look money off, etc

i cant figure it out either... maybe it was course specific for OP?

I bought my NUS extra card for £10 in last offer, can't get it linked up to my amazon account, and I use amazon all the time, the card is great, as I can use it in my 2 local co op shops for 10% off, it's been a great cars for me x

seems every one is now uni-days instead so this is now a bit pointless:(

The trick with getting one of these cards originally was saying you use a distance learning college

e.g. rdi.co.uk/

Saves me around £120 a year on my season ticket. Definitely worth the investment.

They're probably using uni-days because of loopholes like this.
For uni-days you need an academic email address.

10% off at co op is good for me as use village co op a lot. 3 years paid. thanks op.

I get the option in the basket, where you can add the gourmet society thing for £9.99. you have to put in your email, place of education and education details before getting to the basket bit. I haven't had a NUS extra before though.

I get the option to add three years in the basket, this is the same place where you can upgrade too the gourmet society thing for £9.99. I get to this after I put in my email address place of education and education details.

I think the option to add three years only works when you're renewing your NUS card. I was about to renew my card and I got the 3 years option. Although mine is showing as £32

Worth if purely for the spotify discount alone (£5 instead of £10 per month) and if you buy an apple mac, the savings are massive (about 15% plus 3 years warranty as standard)

To get the 3 year option, try changing place of study to Open University Student. RDI only gives 12 months

doesn't seem to work in renewing the endsleigh graduates card posted here a few months ago... Well not that I can see

Did try changing place of education but no other options appeared... oh well Ill enjoy it while it lasts

can't find it.. even after trying to renewing it..

As others say, depends what you use it for. Spotify savings are great, and I get a few quid off my mobile contract with Virgin every month too. Not amazing savings, but definitely get the cost of the card back at the very least in most cases ^^

I've not been student for few years. what do I enter to get this nus card

Picked one of these up last time it was posted not been a student for 5 years. But the 10% off at Co-op has paid for its self over and over again. My local shop is a Co-op nice saving every time I go - Amazon discount is great 5-15% off once activated it automatically applies to all future purchases. Grab Amazon prime and it's even better!

Graduated last year and the three year worked for me. Great for me for spotify, free burger at mcdonalds and now 10% off at coop! The moneys gone through so i guess its worked?
