Awful, awful, awful tablets.

I got this pack then after a month I thought my dishwasher was broken as I had dirty glasses and plates covered with a powdery residue.
Turns out, many other people who have used these tablets had the same issue. I then used fairy tabs and the problem went away.

Would never buy again.

I nearly bought a new dishwasher after using these because I thought the softener unit was totally kaput. I was getting a gray residue on random stainless steel items.

Got mine from the range when they had them on offer, they were imported from Poland with the ingredients in english on a sticky label .

They must have changed the formula in the last 3 year. Cos I got 40 packs from Poundland when the were £1.00 for 15 tablets, used with salt and aldi rinse aid.Never had any issues.

I always use salt and rinse aid, I think the softener resin is getting a bit past it (machine is 18 years old) which might be a factor, but it works fine with other products as long as the salt isn't getting low. Rinse aid is to improve drying, so should not be a factor anyway.

I realised it was these tablets after I restarted the dishwasher because it had been accidentally switched to a 30 degree wash, and I had put another tablet in since the water gets pumped out and the one in it had started to dissolve. With nearly two tablets, a stainless steel teapot came out absolutely caked in grey residue.

Only had the residue problem with my most recent purchase, I bought a few months ago.

Someone did mention in a recent thread on here that due to recent eu legislation, manufacturers have been reformulating dishwasher tablets to reduce phosphates which are there to soften the water.

I don't recall previous packets having a sticky label for the ingredients in English, so these Polish market ones might be a different formulation anyway. I suppose it also could be possible that I've been sold counterfeit packets.
