Saw loads of boxes of finish powerball dishwasher tablets (15) in my 99p store (Sidcup).

Haven't seen them before in store but haven't really looked as i don't have a dishwasher but i do know they are quite expensive saw thought it was a great price.

Compared to the fairy ones I find these pretty poor, good price though.

Its odd because I have the opposite experience with my dishwasher. I was glad to see the back of the fairy ones once the bag was finished (was a big bag too :/, at least they were bloody cheap, wouldn't have been happy if I'd paid full price).

The Tesco ones are All in One, the poundshop ones are classic and don't have salt/rise aid which you'd have to buy separately if your using classic. Theres always an offer on dishwasher tablets so usually you can get a better tablet for the 7p mark.

I bought some a while back from Poundland and they were awful, left a sandy residue on everything. I ended up throwing them away.

When compared to the same tablet bought from a supermarket, they were noticeably thicker and the red pill in the centre was a different shade.

Not sure if they were fake or imported from somewhere with softer / harder water than us.

Whoever is voting hot you have missed that these are "Classic" tablets NOT "All in one" - in other words you have to use salt and rinse aid with them otherwise results will be poor. These are not the same Finish products bought anywhere other than pound shops.

Can you root these?

Well done zabada!!

These tablets are the same as the most basic supermarket ones i.e. Tesco Value or ASDA Smartprice - that's all!

Wow I didn't realise there were so many different versions of tablets, but then I suppose I don't have a dishwasher so never really looked into it. How much are basic own branded ones from Tesco or asda then?

this is a "sparkling" deal

worked great for my hangover ' plink plink fizz' heat added

You have to use salt anyway

You ought to use salt anyway, the salt doesn't go into the wash water, it is used periodically as a saturated solution to maintain the resin-bed in the ion-exchange water softener and then drained to the sewer. If you don't add salt, this will be permanently damaged after some time.
