After doing a search around for a new tv for kids bedroom, I came across this, 22" tv/ dvd combo , it is 1080p as usb which with a usb memory stick or hard drive turns this also into a pvr, the reviews ive found look good and the tv as sexy slim bezels and will suit my kids bedroom a treat, this is the cheapest brand new 22 inch combo I could find and the same tv at other retailers is more than this. Delivery is free but does state 3 to 5 days. Also 4.5% available via quidco but ends in 13 hours.

the retails blurb

The Finlux 22F6050-D Full HD LED TV is the perfect smaller room TV thanks to a slimline design and stunning frame, plus with a built-in DVD player and integrated Freeview - you'll be able to save space by throwing away your old DVD player and set-top box. Ideal for students or flatsharers, the 22F6050-D will even allow you to pause, rewind and record live TV! Key Features: As our DVD combi TVs are Multi-Region it means that you'll be able to play any DVD in your collection, no matter where you bought it from and which region it is designed for. USB recording allows for the easy connection of an external USB memory device to your TV (USB stick/external hard drive) and the recording of digital broadcasts directly onto it. These recording can then be played back at any time on that TV. If you have got a collection of photos on your USB then just connect it to your TV and you'll be able to showcase your snaps in glorious HD for everyone to enjoy. The TV will also act as your personal jukebox thanks to mp3 playback. An integrated Freeview tuner will allow you to watch all your favourite shows from over 50 TV and 24 radio stations across the country-without the need for an additional set-top box. All you need to do is simply plug your TV into an aerial and scan for channels. You'll also have access to 'red button' interactive services such as extra sporting coverage from the BBC and teletext, as well as accessibility features such as subtitling and Audio Description. Two HDMI inputs ensure you'll have enough ports to allow you to connect a couple of AV sources to your TV such as a home cinema system, games console, blu-ray player/set-top box or a laptop. You'll also be able to switch between sources in an instant via your remote

Nice find op.hot

we got my daughter a silver one if these for Christmas, not a bad tv at all, the remote is a little on the big side but that just makes it Harder to loose, not tried out the pvr function yet though.

Looks good, hot!

Thanks jools19 the kids will love it, this TV is to replace a tesco brand TV which as lasted them 6 years, and bonus is this is led back lite TV so very cheap on running costs and also with free view and DVD and USB all built in will save on space, I read that about the remote being large like you I think that's a good thing cos you know what kids are like losing stuff.

Is this better than the Logik 22 inch from Currys at same price?

32" Finlux here £189

but....

Buying my first 32" screen and been like an excited puppy waiting for it … Buying my first 32" screen and been like an excited puppy waiting for it to arrive.Thats where the excitement ended..Plugged my Sky HD box in, hoping to watch sport and other tv shows in HD on a big screen but all i get on the screen is 'This display does not support HDCP, please call..... Disconnect your HDMI connection, press backup to cancel'Pressing backup just gets rid of the message but doesn't bring your HD picture back.So basically, if you want to plug your laptop in that runs Windows 7, a Sky+HD box, a Blu Ray player/recorder, Freesat+HD box, Freeview+HD box, XboX and so on, you won't get HD pictures because they all require HDCP and this telly doesn't have that!Loads of ports, lighter than i thought it would be, but useless for anything modern by way of HD.

but then he goes on to say this in the comments
The manufacturer is saying that upon me connecting my Sky HD box via HDMI, some of the software that is required within HDCP became corrupted so the Sky box and Blu-Ray player and Laptop cannot establish a link so it then appears the display isn't HDCP compliant.
They have said they will send me a software update/corrector that should sort the issue, but if plugging a Sky HD box into the back of a telly via HDMI causes corruption to software within the TV, thats not good either...

just a update now my tv as arrived, screen is nice and bright , and i like how thin the tv is , dvd is multi region but to be honest wont us it , and freeview was very easy to tune all the channels in and the epg ect works a treat , 2 hdmi sockets is usefull , now the negative stuff , the included stand is not adjustable there is no tilt available, there are not a lot of buttons on the tv to adjust stuff, the usb only plays video in avi, vobs and mpeg , and doesnt support xvid, h264 or x264 , so was a little disapointed about that, so out of 10 i would give the tv 7/10 , if the usb played all the formats i would have given 9/10
