is this a good brand

is this a good brand

No. Hence the price.

lools good quality

Looks pretty decent

It only has a 50Hz refresh rate though, so if you intend to do any type of gaming I'd stay clear

They seem to like it.
Does 50Hz cause any other issues, other than gaming - suitable to watch the World Cup on, for instance?

Made by Vestel who are the maker behind many budget TVs such as Bush, budget Toshibas and Hitachi's

50Hz is not a problem, UK and European TV is broadcast at 50Hz so some might argue 100Hz or higher is unnecessary if the TV can process images well.

100Hz TV's may possibly give better results but it may be that the higher priced 100Hz TV is a better overall TV and the fact it has 100Hz may not really be the reason why, when it might just have better LCD panel and better image processing capabilities.

Was going to ask same question

Tend to stick to known brands when buying a tv (rightly or wrongly)

The 100hz is only relevant for none TV broadcasts like a blu ray player or a games console. The X1 had the problem at launch with the HDMI in making UK tv broadcasts stutter as it was duplicating every 6th frame to match the 60hz the console was outputting.

The price the OP quoted is different... hence at the time they posted it was a different price...

But it still works very well.

My Gamecube "works very well"...

I have this TV and it is poor

That's why it is cheap

Buy something with better sound if you can afford it (or buy a soundbar to add to it)

PS: Paid £280 for it about 10 months ago and the web browser is slow (and a waste of time)

have the 32" version. bought based on the what hi-fi review. cannot fault the set at all.

Also have this tv, the sound isn't great but apart from that i'm really happy with it. I use the iPlayer and Netflix apps quite a lot and they work well.

Customer service are good as well. I wasn't happy with the remote so I emailed them and they sent me the new model out free of charge.

Most TVs have pretty poor sound, I'd be looking to add a soundbar or receiver anyway

nice find

Anyone who bought it have a quick review?
